serial Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Got GAS again, looking for interesting stuff, but could use something with a Bigsby, a Les Paul (a LP w/a Bigsby would be perfect!), an AC-30, something antigua, hell, I don't know. Got a few things that I've got doubles of that could be tradeable... Got this limited run HFC3 AK3P90 and a 1983 Fullerton USA 1957 Reissue Strat (one of the good ones) in Lake Placid blue (pretty hard to find in that finish). I've got another Strat that isn't as nice, but it's a parts guitar, so I don't expect it'd be worth that much for a trade. I love the AK3P90, but I've got a second one. Also have the original pickup for this one. Cant' get pics of the Strat to load yet...
kurtsstuff Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 did you not see my blow out priced 57 reissue/2 buckers w/ /Bigsby??
serial Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Kurtstuff-I did and that didn't help my salivation. Downer is that I'm limited on the fundage, hence the trade post! If you'd be interested in trades, that would be fine w/me.
DavidE Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 It's probably good that I don't own this '58 Historic anymore...
kurtsstuff Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 oh yeah....forgot about the trade thing...DOH!!! my bad...
DavidE Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Oh now that just HURTS! It was a cool guitar. An unusual model; one favored by Brad W of Aerosmith for a long time. It took me a while to sell it and I didn't get what I thought it should have been worth. Of course I saw one at GC Hollywood for more than twice what I got for it a few months later. No "Les Paul model" silk screen on the headstock. Plaintop. Pickguard was originally included with the guitar but not installed. The original owner installed it on the one I had.
serial Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Thanks for the email. Looking for non-Hamer or different Hamer (like one w/a Bigsby-Monaco-style thing maybe).
atquinn Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 How about trading your AK3P90 for some cash ? -Austin
mc2 Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Serial... Ain't 'cha into seafoam an' sharkfin inlays? Maybe you'd like this one...although ya can't tune-a-fish but there are plenty of scales to play.(yeah, yeah...I know, dolphin's not a fish... but I don't know any dolphin music humor.)
Rocktuna Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 If it didn't have a Bigsby I'd be on that like a Dolfin in a Tuna net
cmatthes Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 David E: Like this one? Elduave Hearts La Whitford Red 58 Historic w/Bigsby!
DavidE Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Bingo. Same rare model, but mine had the pickguard installed.
serial Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 You guys are holdin' out on me-I never saw THOSE pics from the Aerosmith show!
Turdus Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 David E:Like this one? Elduave Hearts La Whitford Red 58 Historic w/Bigsby! Chris/ElD..... I remember seeing Mr. Whitford use that one, during a TV performance. The double creme pickups appaeared to have pole pieces resembling Carvin pickups.... true or false?

Can't remember what they were, but I think whatever came on the '58 Historics at the time.
