For Hamer, it's currently $80 (down from were it was). I forget for G&L, but in the same ballpark...

Looks like the inlay delete option, which I think is another $80. But worth every penny!

If you are ordering a Carvin, the standard fretboard wood is Ebony. No upcharge for switching to rosewood, or to standard maple finished with minwax tung oil. They do charge extra for Birdseye maple and flamed maple.

For other makers, they charge more for ebony, though I'm not exactly sure why. I don't believe it is that much more expensive. Maybe it's harder to work with because it can be brittle?
