cynic Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 This looks like the guitar from the cover of Les Paul's autobiography.GLWS
ghamerinfrance Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I guess this should be easier if you let repair the guitar first before selling; no ?And maybe a great opportunity to let Greg BCR (as an example) to show its know how (known now even in small french cities). But this is a point of view...
FrankieIII Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 I guess this should be easier if you let repair the guitar first before selling; no ?And maybe a great opportunity to let Greg BCR (as an example) to show its know how (known now even in small french cities). But this is a point of view...I certainly considered that, but I decided that many have their go to person for repairs that they would have more confidence with, and also if anyone wanted to repair it themselves to save a few bucks.
FrankieIII Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 What's the neck profile?Gibson describes it as "traditional rounded." It feels the same to me as my LP Std Premium + with '50s neck profile, except for about an 1/2" area in from where the binding stops (where your thumb rests) it feels slightly shaved down (rounded off) a bit in that area. The '50s neck profile feels like there's an 1/2" shoulder (think D shape) in that area on both sides of the neck.http://www.sweetwate.../detail/LPCAWGH
