zorrow Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I'm not too much into shredding "per-se", but I did find this performance awesome:
Ting Ho Dung Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I normally get annoyed at Neo Classical. But not in this case. That was awesome.
Rodan Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 My Cool Girlfriend came up over my shoulder and said, "What is that?" So, yes - it definitely communicates, musically. This performance shows real dedication to the music, itself. Pretty cool!
anotherfreak Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 WHEEEEeeeeeeemeeedleymeedley meee..................very cool indeed!
Studio Custom Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I prefer this guy, as his playing is smoother and tone fits the genre better IMO.
diablo175 Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I prefer this guy, as his playing is smoother and tone fits the genre better IMO. Meh. Sounds like Greg Howe and Tony MacAlpline. Mind you, I love both of those players but the dude shredding Ludwig was pretty true to his source.

Rodan Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Didj'all notice that the first guy was doing those kitchen-clean tapping runs with no damping device? I mean, REALLY clean...and he COULD've put some felt down by the nut... Nice!
Feynman Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I like the first one. Not sure why. Because Beethoven wrote great music.
zorrow Posted July 15, 2013 Author Posted July 15, 2013 I like the first one. Not sure why. Because Beethoven wrote great music. ...and because the guy does interpret it really well. We all stumble upon shredders all the time on the net, but this Dr. Viossy guy really nailed it on this one. That's why I thought I'd share it here. This performance goes well above your average highly-technical-but-boring YouTube shred -or so I think.
