cwgatti Posted October 27, 2013 Author Posted October 27, 2013 http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/msg/4152522753.htmlDid anyone notice that this guitar has a tone control as well...?
veatch Posted October 27, 2013 Posted October 27, 2013 All of the Deluxes (alder body, EMG active pups) had a "mid-boost" control. Very useful control, IMO. Of, course, there may be odd-balls out there, COs and all. My '89 Elite had a tone knob with a push/pull coil tap. (also very useful... )
cwgatti Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 Maybe God is trying to tell me something....
cwgatti Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/msg/4152522753.htmlI just bought another guitar, and I am at a moment of weakness. Make an offer and we can use my shiny new PayPal account....

RichRS6 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Nice one.Looks similar to my Strat plus but with a humbucker in the bridge.GLW Cali Sale.
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Doesn't look like anyone can afford the Cali unfortunately...
carfish7 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I really miss mine - it was not the purple though but Surf Green. Great Strat and the biggest production neck I have ever felt. Likely contributed to a monster tone though. There has been one FS locally forever but the guy is asking too much IMHOCongrats and GLWS on the Cali!Edited to delete Craigslist link in a FS posting. Doh!

cwgatti Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 I have a guy overseas who wants to "Buy it Now". I am using PayPal. Is it safe for me to sell to this guy? He said he will pay all shipping through PayPal.
Victor (Fret Friend) Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I have a guy overseas who wants to "Buy it Now". I am using PayPal. Is it safe for me to sell to this guy? He said he will pay all shipping through PayPal.Paypal is supposedly there to cover your ass (and his) if anything goes wrong! I would tread carefully but it may well be a legit deal without a problem. Which country will it be shipping to? I would also make sure that you fill in any necessary custom forms correctly and MAKE SURE that you cost the shipping in with the eBay deal so as not to cause confusion pro-sale!Others omn here with more experience/knowledge of these matters may be able to advise futher/better...
diablo175 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Does this mean we should expect a reduction in bumps for your guitar?
Never2Late Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I've bought from a variety of countries using PayPal, uncluding somewhat-sketchy places like Bulgaria and the Ukraine. Its fine.
veatch Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Make sure they understand up front that you will not falsify customs forms, and that all customs fees are their responsibility. If the buyer goes into the "can't you claim that the guitar is a gift and only worth $25?" That's when you kindly say no and walk away. You're pretty safe with PPal, but there are still risks. PPal protects the buyer more than the seller. Take pictures of all you packaging and make copies of all forms, etc. Good luck!
