sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Now, where is this extra Tally at again, did you say? Are you still enjoying the original one? A Tally will likely be my next acquisition.
coolfeel Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 It's a real nice one too!http://lightningjoes.com/hamertalladegaearthmap.html
Drendino Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 Now, where is this extra Tally at again, did you say? Are you still enjoying the original one? A Tally will likely be my next acquisition. I would tell you where it is, but then I would have to kill you
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Well now, isn't that pretty. Dino, if you are going to make a move, you'd better do it quick...(just kidding, that's a bit more than I want to spend right now). Out of curiosity, at that price would you actually do a straight-up trade with a new for a used instrument, or would there be some kind of cash consideration involved? I wonder if a bit of patience might be key here, grasshopper.
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I would tell you where it is, but then I have to kill you For some reason, I read that as if you were speaking with Stewie Griffin's voice.
Drendino Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 It's a real nice one too!http://lightningjoes.com/hamertalladegaearthmap.htmlExactly, thats the one I wanted but the guy sold it a day before I called him! I am pretty sure that someone in this forum went ninja stealth after someone posted that link as a response to my last post. BTW, Kudos to the slimy bastard who got it. I would have done the same! I am loving the EM Tally and can't say enough about it. I would definitely sell some body parts to get one knowing what I know about it now!

The NOS EM Studio that was just snatched out from me (sigh) was pretty much the same price as the EM Tally. If someone had one in mint or near mint condition, I would just do a straight across trade.

Oops, I responded too fast. I thought that was a link to the Studio that I missed. Yes, that Tally is a real peach. Someone needs to rescue it fast!
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I would definitely sell some body parts to get one knowing what I know about it now! You want a toe? I can get you a toe...
oldskoolrulz Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 #8 em tally is on eBay for $2495, sounds like a fair price...
django49 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 But you are overlooking the GEM at Lightnin' Joes------Less than $7k for the NOS Improv!
Carl.B Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Heads up look what just popped up on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-hamer-earthen-maple-studio-20-of-25-made-with-OHSC-/281180259268?pt=Guitar&hash=item4177a643c4
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Uncanny! I don't remember seeing one of those on eBay before. The seller has good feedback, and has actually sold a Hamer before. Looks legit. Hope you get it!Edit- it had a BIN of around $2600 IIRC. That has disappeared now that bidding has started.
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Glovers are nice. However, those Samshin Hamer pups (currently for sale on the Bay) are where it is really at tonally...
veatch Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Seth was Roger's older brother, wasn't he? Could never remember whether to come in on three, or three and then come in...I would make an offer for the original BIN and see if the seller bites...
Drendino Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Wow thanks guys, you are the best!! I think I am going to delete this thread until the bidding is over. I'm going into Ninja mode!
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Shut 'er down and get that thing, man!
oldskoolrulz Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 you should seriously offer the dude $2500 if you really want it, that was the BIN at the beginning of the auction...
django49 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 The EM Studio is a superb guitar. Lightweight, korina, great color. One of the better Hamers ever, IMO. Original pickups are fine, but an upgrade is worthwhile (IMO). They are not going to pop up very often.
Drendino Posted October 7, 2013 Author Posted October 7, 2013 Yehaw, I won! I'll post some pics after I receive it. Whew!
sonny o'hoolighan Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Also, at a cost savings over the BIN price. Congrats!
