RecRm Rocker Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Looking for a pic of an un molested Junior cavity. Mined has been tampered with and I want to restore it. I even have some 2003 vintage solder!
RecRm Rocker Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 I know there aren't many but really ?
hamerhead Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Dammit. I was going to look for mine last night (guitar room is completely trashed) and totally spaced it. I'm emailing myself a reminder right now .
hamerhead Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Upon further review, mine too has been adulterated. I forgot (hell I forget everything) about the replacement Jay sent several years ago. Awesome pickup, but not much help to you. Sorry.Maybe they've ALL been changed. It wouldn't surprise me with this bunch.
Jakeboy Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 I swapped out a pickup but so what? That just means I have different color leads going to the exact same lugs on the pot. Other than that it is like factory. Want a pic?
RecRm Rocker Posted November 20, 2014 Author Posted November 20, 2014 My tone cap is going from tone pot to output jack ground side. I believe it should be between the vol and tone pot. Tone works but volume drops drastically at bass end of control. Just want to see a stock or close to it cavity.

Aside from the pup wire, Hamerhead's pic looks pretty representative of the Hamer inerds i've from that time...
hamerhead Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I can never nut up and cut the wire short. I don't know why - that particular pickup will never leave that guitar.
velorush Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I can never nut up and cut the wire short. I don't know why - that particular pickup will never leave that guitar. Same here. It's like eliminating all future possibilities (it isn't). I even have that reluctance clipping Strat pickups. They're STRAT PICKUPS, they go in a STRAT! The all have the same dimensions, yet it kills me to clip the leads into a more manageable length.
hamerhead Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Yeah - they used inferior parts on all your ordinary, lesser versions.
RecRm Rocker Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Im trying to compare electrically. Similar but different. the bumblebee is a vintage .022.
RecRm Rocker Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Mine: Im trying to compare electrically. Similar but different. the bumblebee is a vintage .022.
RecRm Rocker Posted November 22, 2014 Author Posted November 22, 2014 Not sure about the grayish white wire from signal lug(kug... Whats a KUG)) of vol pot cap should work fine from center lug to ground... Im thinking the wire I'm questioning should be on center lug of volume pot???????

We could be butchering what will become the next $25,000 classic into just another piece of korina. Cheers! caddie Robin hurry, get murkat on the BatPhone before Hamerhead finds his wire cutters!!!
