Pedal storage

little cyress

Question

Where do all the pedals go? Any storage method working for you? Too many taking up space on the floor, getting dusty, etc. What's your solution? This is not a new problem, but maybe new solutions I can use!!

Save those little white beanie bags that keep electronics dry. Put them in a zip lock with the pedal. Keeps them minty fresh and you can see what ya got easily. Put em in sock drawer or similar storage so they don't get knocked around.

I kept an old dresser for that stuff. A drawer for mics, a drawer for pedals, a drawer for tubes, etc. Best thing I did to clean up the practice area...

A used Gator Case or SKB with slide drawers in it. I have a coat closet I converted with velcro on the shelves and a pull screen as a door. Now I sold all my pedals and have it full of cables, pickups and Speakers.

I was going to get a pedalboard, but the bigass pre-assembled pedal boards like the one Furmann power and SKB used to make are apparently not popular anymore.

I usually just keep them in their boxes.

I use an old tower for CD and DVD...2 stompboxes at each level : 5 levels==>10 pedals

Old wardrobe trunk, 1900 something. Good for unused pedals, boxes, magazines, tubes, stuff. For touring you would need a stagehand or two, of course.

Unused pedals can be used as paper weights at the office.

Or you can just put weed in them.
