Where to buy reasonably priced posters

Question

Posted

I've been shopping for posters online of assorted personal guitar influences (EVH, SRV, Hendrix, Page, Ace Frehley, etc.), poster reprints of guitar blueprints and poster-sized ads for gear of my youth to frame (on a budget) and decorate my guitar workshop. I'm finding blueprints at a digestible price (I got a poster of Leo's Stratocaster patent diagrams for $10), and I've found old music shop banners for equipment lines at decent prices.

But the rock-star posters I had as a youth are stoopid expensive when I find them on eBay, and I've been told to be careful with reprints because the quality can be utter crap. I don't necessarily feel like scouring antique/second-hand stores looking for deals. Any leads on an online source that won't break the bank? Any of you guys have any guitar god posters you want to sell me? LOL

I've got a lot of that stuff. Gibson promo poster/catalogs, etc. Let me see what I've got.

Not sure if they have what you need but I'd try Rockabilia.com for the posters of youth.

Remember those mega posters you'd see at the back of Spencer Gifts in the mall? There was a Kiss, Wings, Clapton I think, about 6-8 different artists IIRC. I bought the Wings one off eBay some time ago. Definitely paid some bucks for it.

I don't know what "reasonable prices" are these days but these guys e-ad me 2-3 times a week with nice pictures.

They have great music & a lot of posters.

Find some of the old rock magazines. Some were poster specials that had more than one poster in them. The images were exclusive to the magazine often enough, so your wall will not have an image everyone has seen a thousand times.
