serial Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Had this up a while back, but made the mistake of playing it and remembering how fun it is. Unfortunately, I'm not gigging full-time anymore and have to move something along. Up for offer again at a lower price to move (lower than any others I've seen in a long time). Classic 'Keef' black/black with maple neck Tele Custom. All original except for Schaller straplocks and that a blade humbucker was installed in the bridge when I was gigging playing loud high-gain stuff. The original single coil bridge pickup IS included in the sale. I switched this out long before I knew of things like a Decimator noise gate pedal or I never would've changed it. The guitar is the classic black/maple and has a few of the dings and things from a guitar that was played, but none of the typical finish wear-throughs that these so often have. Bridge plate has some relicing, but I picked up an original bridge years ago that will come with the guitar (new bridge is missing one saddle, but is almost new). NO cracks or drilled holes, etc in the pickguard either. The original neck humbucker sounds great! With original rare maroon-lined 70s hardshell case with leather ends in very nice shape. $1978.00
BadgerDave Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Nice. I'm a big fan of Tele Deluxes, Thinlines and Customs. That one certainly looks "Rawk"! Oh, and the original Fender wide range humbuckers get rave reviews from people who should know, like Jason Lollar.
Biz Prof Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 Perhaps the most underrated rock machine of all time.
serial Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Not only underrated rock machine, but also underrated crowd control device...(see @1:15 in)
Caddie Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 what the hell was that around 1:20. Did i see that right? A couple guys racing across the stage, try to grab Keith's guitar but Keith winds up and smacks one of them in the head with his Tele. Then quickly gets back to playing?! Now THAT is rock n roll. or Whack n Roll.
