kizanski Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Do we still like our Baker? Is a bear Catholic?
kizanski Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Is that pickguard stock??? No - Woodie added it. It came with the white 'guard which he is including. Edited to add:

Guest pirateflynn Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 What year is the Standard?Neck profile?Approx. weight (med., heavy or) ?Is the finish this color? http://kizanski.com/Images/Adjusted/US-Std/DSCN5832.jpg.....or this color? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/wood...s/summer168.jpgThanks, Ken

Is the finish this color? http://kizanski.com/Images/Adjusted/US-Std/DSCN5832.jpg .....or this color? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/wood...s/summer168.jpg Thanks, Ken It is a 1997. I don't remember the neck well enough to remeber the profile. The truth is, the guitar slayed, but it was too new for me to feel comfortable playing ver often. I'm like that with the big pointy ones, otherwise I would have kept the Korina Vector that I traded to Badger Dave, and my Korina Standard would see more use as well. This is the color. Although, in direct sunlight, it can look like this. In flourescent light with a camera flash, it can look like this. It really is a marvelous piece of wood, and Woodie is a great one as well.
woodpile Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 I'm sorry I'm not where I can get to the guitar so for now I'll give the quick summary. The color is more like Kiz'z pic. I would call the neck a medium C shape and the overall weight to be medium. And my faded memory recalls it to be a '96 (Kizmo help me out here).
tomteriffic Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 '97 one-piece Mahogany Standards KILL!!! There actually aren't that many around and everybody I've known who has owned one has loved it. I sure wouldn't part with mine, and I can only imagine how good it sounds with a set of Rios. Buy it. Period.
Guest pirateflynn Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Okay Tom, you haven't steered me wrong yet! It's killer.......I'll take it, with the white pickguard. Let me know how you want to be paid, ready to go.Ken
silentman Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 It never ceases to amaze me why a guitar is SO good, yet gets passed around like a cheap ho. Financial problems I can understand, but if the guitar SLAYS why move it? It's GOTTA be a keeper!
thecajunboy Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 What's the neck shape like? Looks like its shaped like a neck.

Anyway, I have my foot in the door. Waiting on a reply.
woodpile Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 PF,Reply sent. I'll consider it yours.I'm looking for a semi-hollow body right now and needed to sell something. Truth be known, horse trading is part of the addiction for me. Even the aforementioned VN Standard Custom is gone. Anybody have a non-bigsby Newport for sale?
