These earlier UL's are considered to be better sounding than newer ones..I would'nt know having not owned a newer one so I can't really say?? but...thats what I've been told...who knows?? Anyways...a great sounding amp and currently loaded with JJ 6L6 output tubes but with a flick of the bias switch can accept KT88's/6550 tubes for more headroom and volume (not that it's needed!!) Come with footswitch and the screen on the front panel has been changed to clear plexi-glass. this amp is in excellent condition and priced to move at $1350.00 shipped!! My new amps are due to arrive this week so...it's gotta go!!!

Well...like I said...Been told the earlier ones sound better and you say they sound "different" so.....I guess it's all relative??...I don't really like any amp with a graphic EQ on it because I find myself "tweaking" the EQ more than actually playing the damn thing???... lol! But...I'm not saying thats a bad feature to have as I agree...it does permit more tonal shaping when and if needed

Yep....I've been through about 3-4 different amps to keep myself amused while waiting for my splawns..hehe. I wished I could keep all the amps I've had but....would'nt have any room in the house if I did??

We never did do that deal on the JCM 800 you had.

Nah...I never mod any marshall and the 3 that I have left I kinda retired but they may see action again in the future..They are the best sounding marshall's I've ever owned but they are extremely tempermental and are prone to throw fits!!!...lol!!
