crunchee Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 No affiliation. With Kahler installed, apparently aftermarket. They're calling it 'Pink Metallic', but I think it's faded but original Red Metallic or a 'pearl'-type finish. I had a Blitz from about the same time frame once that was the same color, I've heard it called 'Ferrari Red' or 'Lipstick Red', too. Not cheap, but DGS is known for dropping prices if things don't move quickly: https://davesguitar.com/products/hamer/phantom-a5-83-2/
DaveH Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 $1k doesn't seem like too bad of a deal, no?

For a aftermarket Kahler install on a originally fulcrum trem guitar?... butchered if you ask me... would have been somewhat acceptable if it was a Kahler/sustained block conversion "not needing to leave the spring cavity & cover"... or should of used the Kahler 2700 series "Killer/Spider" (Floyd Rose version) trem or better yet a OFR or Hamer logo Schaller trem... that being said, the sum of all the original parts should fetch a pretty penny
DaveH Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Yeah, I just scanned the pics real quick like, didn't read any of it either. It does sound butchered.
HamerCustomEr Posted September 15, 2021 Posted September 15, 2021 From the DGS copy, "A mid 80’s Kahler locking tremolo has been installed" I guess you see what you want to see. I initially read this as "A mid 80’s Kahler f*cking tremolo has been installed"!
GusS Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 Fret not, these two non-kahlered A5s are looking for a good home.
