I've been looking for a few acoustic songs to learn since I have this beautiful Melancon acoustic guitar. Those of you who have read any of my posts at all already know that I'm a Myles Kennedy Whore. So I youtubed acoustic songs that he plays. After about an hour of playing and listening to a lot of songs I stumbled on the video I'm sharing with you guys. I knew that Myles and Slash teamed up on part of Slash's recent solo album but figured it would suck as bad as Slash could make it suck. You see, I was born a bit late to be in the GNR scene. I think I was in my mid twenties when they left their trailer park and hit the stage. I thought Axle had the worst voice ever and found Slash's playing and tone extremely annoying. But, all I've ever heard of them was airplay. I've never heard any of their album music. I clicked on the video below because I saw Myles play Sweet Child Of Mine on his own acoustic set a while back. I was ready to hate the video but was surprised by the light touch Slash has on the strings. His tone is bell like. It's almost like he's a savant, almost angelic-like. I got a sense of piece watching him play and I felt bad about my misunderstanding of him. Of course I was high as a kite when I watched it last night but watched it again this morning and still feel I've misjudged him both as a person and as a guitarist. Of course Myles is stellar as always in the video. His voice shines and makes even the GNR tunes enjoyable. I'm sure McChris will tell me to GTFO for my (mis)perceptions of Slash. That's fine. You guys can unleash your hate on me. I'm in the mood for abuse today. But, what I would like along with the kick in the nuts is what you more Slash-knowledgeable jerks can tell me about him. Both as a person and as a musician. Maybe you can even convince me to listen to some "good" GNR songs. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here's the video.

Who Needs A Fucking Microwave??
Ting Ho Dung replied to Ting Ho Dung's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Are you on that diet for your High Blood Pressure? Good for you. I was a vegan for a few years back in the 80s. Gave it up for Lent or something. I don't remember. -
Who Needs A Fucking Microwave??
Ting Ho Dung replied to Ting Ho Dung's question in Ask the HFC Experts
Maybe that's why we have always been a skinny family, other than me. We eat sensibly. Very little processed meat. Very little bread and pasta. Chicken, steak, pork ribs, broccoli, legumes of every kind. Other than beer, does that mean we are gluten free? Does rice contain gluten? We like brown rice about once every few weeks. One friend told me we eat like the Adkins diet. I don't know what that is either. I'm going to try the stove top popcorn. Haven't done that since we were first married. It'll be fun. -

Good to know, if I ever eat a hot dog again. Still no fucking microwave. Damn I want some popcorn. My bank gives it out on Friday. So I still don't need a microwave. -

I normally get annoyed at Neo Classical. But not in this case. That was awesome. -
I've never seen Jol's guru page but my guess is if you haven't registered then anyone can with your username. Never thought about that one before. I guess one can do damage all over the net if you haven't registered beforehand. I don't see any defense available.

Have you guys seen Zen's amazing new video?
Ting Ho Dung replied to Feynman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
First I have to google who George Lynch is. Why to care about George Lynch? You only need to buy that pickup. Nevermind then. I'll buy the pickup and won't educate myself about George Lynch. I saw SD will allow custom graphics. I'll use ZMB. -

You killed it, Zen. Absolutely stunning! -
I'm better than I've ever been. Now I can play the 12 bar blues and 3 major chords.

This bold thing is starting to get weird. How many peeps are grillin' ribs this week? On sale everywhere. Mine are about done. Now, onto FMIC. Frustrated. I agree. At first I really didn't care. I figured, "Oh well" another group screwing up a good thing. But after seeing the threads you guys have posted of your custom orders and those who nearly had them, well it is frustrating. To me too.

Seriously? On a public forum? Call me? Did you do the little thing with the thumb and pinky next to your face? Call me? LOL You Jive Turkey! -
I haven't really thought about selling any of mine. But your post is provocative. Is that what you had in mind? For someone to offer up a hidden gem? My first post here was similar and got me great scorn. I simply stated I wanted to buy a guitar "tonight". I wish now I hadn't deleted that thread 'cause I'd like to know who the characters in the play were.

The intown calls on CL is what I'm concerned about. I don't want people coming to my house wasting my time and casing the joint at the same time. -

This is in the Music Go Round that just opened up down the street. I'm going to check it out. They say 1980. How can I tell? -
