  1. I'm not in. What's that song? I ain't goin' to rehab, No, No, No.
  2. If he doesn't want it, yeah, I'll take it! Awesome. PM me the cost & postage, along with your paypal account is and I'll send it to ya. PIF for good luck in the new year.
  3. Hey, did you solve your trem cavity plate issue? My son never puts his on the guitar and he says you can have it.
  4. I didn't get it either. So I'll probably be banned again.
  5. Hold on, let me check my mom's chest. And you will post that on the Boobies thread? Careful what you ask for, LOL
  6. Fuck; cause I can and do and will do. And because it's fun to say as a noun, verb, adverb, adjective and can be almost a full sentence, i.e. fuck the fucking fucker.
  7. I don't care for Prince as a whole. But I have spent some time on Youtube and sifted through the funk and horns and heard him playing some killer chops. And he is obviously talented and plays every instrument known to man. You are right, he could be killer in metal. I would have been a huge fan if he had gone that route. Funk and horns are not for me.
  8. My son will carry the torch. Hopefully your kids will too. Two or three kids to each Hamer fan club dad = more fans. The Mayan calendar ran out today. Someone miscalculated.
  9. Last year after Christmas a friend of mine picked up a Fender Mustang "open box" for around fifty bucks at GC. He said there were several to choose from. I think he said it was 100 watts and he is quite impressed with the amp modeling. He said if he were gigging he'd use that and his favorite cab.
  10. Man, that is bad news. I don't know Bill but those who do please let him know I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.
  11. I apologize, I did seem curt. Didn't mean to be.
  12. The strap is a reticulated python.
  13. Thanks Disturber. Can you give me some song titles to look up? Like I said, I know nothing about this guy except Purple Rain and he may be asexual. I saw an interview on utube yesterday that he held a concert where the ticket prices were only $25 bucks. He said it was because of Live Nation. I thought that was very cool of him. Any idea what the ticket prices will be this tour? Who knows, maybe I'll become a Prince fan 30 years after Purple Rain.
  14. Did not mean anything by it guys. I just never heard anyone say they were both sexes before and wondered what that meant. People change their sex if they don't like the one they came with. Some make a big deal about it and some don't. I'm not aware of him changing anything. I didn't know if that was just a shtick of his and has come and gone or if it's a lifestyle or what. I just remember it being on the news quite a while ago. I looked him up on Utube yesterday when this thread appeared and really liked his jams when he was soloing. The only thing I've seen him in prior to yesterday was Purple Rain 30 years ago which I didn't really care for. But I figured if somebody on here was a real Prince fan they could fill me in on what he means by that. Surly after he made the statement someone would have done an interview and asked him to clarify what it means to be neither sex or both sexes. So there must be more than just me who would be curious. At the time I thought he must be using it as a publicity deal and honestly I hadn't heard his name brought up since then until I read this thread. And since that was the only thing I heard from Prince since Purple Rain, it's what popped into my head. Just curious, no condemnation meant by it.
  15. Not to derail. I never really followed the guy though I have heard some of his guitar licks and was impressed. But is he still thinking he is both male and female or has that gone away?
  16. I found the answer. You don't have to change any hardware. Change your strings to Original Fender Bullets. These things suck the tone right out of a guitar.
  17. Well, Michael Thorn. I'm not very creative. I have been asked about my avatar (maybe there's a thread for that). It's my son, Brandon in a Rob Zombie moment with the wind to his back at the beach.
  18. Thanks guys. I forwarded the B-day wishes along to Brandon and spread the love with him and the wife as well. All to often I forget to mention her. She's in this too.
  19. Well, you only turn 18 once. Went all out. I got the 7 string off e-bay a while back and was disappointed in it. I didn't want to give my son a "White Elephant" for his 18th so I put it in the closet and felt bad that I bought it. So a few weeks later BrentRocks put up his '81 silver burst and I knew it was the guitar for my son. Brandon is a huge Tool fan (must have got it from me) and he has always loved Adam Jones' guitar. So I pulled out the plastic and got it from Brent. Brandon was away for a day and I decided to take another look at the Jackson. The pickups were supposedly upgraded to Dimarzios but they were mounted crooked and were also about a half inch below the strings. The guitar sounded like crap. The volume pot also didn't work. I pulled the strings and took out the pickups. Who ever rigged them must have thrown something away that would allow the height to be adjusted and make them level and secure. I cut a piece of acoustic foam to fit and screwed the pickups back in. I replaced the pot, shined the thing up and it turned out to be a really nice playing and sounding guitar. I only paid $300 for it on e-bay so decided to give it to him too. We then went to see Batman at the IMAX. I asked him last night if he had a happy birthday. He said yes and he said he would have had a happy birthday even if I didn't get him anything. So I don't think I spoiled him but I do think he will remember his 18th birthday.
  20. No, Man. Tool is Tool. There is no other. However, the lead singer of Ear Shot sounds similar to Maynard. I thought I could get into them but they came up lame for me. Look them up on youtube before you buy. Bands I go on binges for are Stabbing Westward (their first few albums). Very angry. Deftones, angry and whimsical at the same time. KoRn, of course. And NIN. If you like their artwork then you will like Alex Gray. Look up his images. As for what's spinnin' here; Lately I've been listening to Dire Straits while working and alterbridge in the car.
  21. Looks like a discussion of politics as usual to me when what we should be talking about is a wonderful social and musical event that had something for everyone to come away with and reflect on. Alice is still my hero (YMMV and you may think The Civil Wars was the best thing there, bless you for coming away with a positive note) because while everyone else in my class and my town was listening to the Jackson 5 and The Carpenters when I was in the fifth grade, I was listening to Alice. Halo Of Flies, Zen. If you haven't heard it, other than kind of dumb lyrics, it is a musical masterpiece. Especially for 1971. I don't believe in the 99x1 or 1x99. Everyone wants the same thing, family, love, and the end of wars. Unfortunately, that's in a perfect world which is why we have musical festivals and art. So we can be united and enjoy the one thing we all have in common.
  22. Wow, someone pulled a Rip Van Winkle on this thread.
