  1. What I find interesting is that the only thing she seems to have trouble with is those bends and vibrato. Obviously, as she gets older and her physiology develops, it won't be an issue for her. But it is an interesting lesson on how much hand and finger size ultimately matters and the relationship between dexterity and hand strength. Besides her obviously amazing talent, it's kind of neat what else you can learn from watching her.
  2. Hmmm.... Might be fun.
  3. This is an awesome project. Great start too!
  4. When I googled the HFC at the office to go to the forum, the above video popped up as second in the search. It was before my time, but I had to hunt down the back story. Sorry for the zombie bump, but you guys are fucking awesome.
  5. Fender is not allowed to get along.
  6. Ghetto? My board laughs at your refined, well-fashioned board! Feast your eyes on what happens when you have no board but get tired of setting up and tearing down pedals every gig/practice, find a can of high heat WalMart spray paint, an old bicycle chain and a piece of scrap 5/8 plywood under the house (JEM-inspired monkey grip): The backline is just a bit more upscale: an old Kenneth Cole briefcase from my days as a banker, more plywood and bicycle chain: The coiled tubing houses two 20' George-L's cables for the loop, another cable for the amp-to-frontline link and the cable for the amp's footswitch. I have about $2 (wood screws) in the whole rig. At the time this was put together I needed to throw something together quickly, but this has worked just fine so I haven't bothered it. I'll get around to that some day, but in the mean time it's super ghetto! I appreciate this approach. I have a piece of scrap wood with some utility room carpet nailed to it so I can use velcro to stick my pedals. Never could see the reason to spend a lot of money on a pedal board, though I have to admit, this thread is really making me reconsider.
  7. I remember how the whole mix just sucked in and became mush on "Secret Touch" when the song kicked in... This is so much better. I'm going to have to pick up the CD.
  8. Holy shit, that's better!
  9. PM's answered. Sorry I've been slow the last few days. Got busy with school stuff at the end of the week. Still available.
  10. I'd hear a trade, though cash would be my preference. They seem to change the model pretty regularly. There may be a tap tempo version, but this one doesn't have it. It's kind of reflexive to what you are doing, so having the tempo isn't a huge deal. To be honest, I bought it for such a limited thing, that I don't know everything it does. Here is a nifty video demo:
  11. Echo bump. $140 pp'd do your door.
  12. Pretty much like new condition. I used it maybe three times for a gig. I have stuck the feet on the bottom, but that is about it. Great pedal, I just switched to a Line 6 HD300 to use with my Tubemeister, so I don't have much use for it beyond just having a cool pedal. Since I'm paying some stuff off, I decided I can't afford to just have cool pedals, haha. $150 $125 Shipped and Paypal'd.
  13. I have back-up snake skins for my snake skin boots. I teach in them too. To know about my skivvys though, you just have to find that our for yourself.
  14. Damn it... Pointy - Check Cali - Check Matches Boots - Check
  15. ? Still available Appreciate the thought, however. Mea culpa. For some reason, the pic isn't coming up for me. I thought perhaps you removed it because it sold.
  16. Ha, I wish I had the punisher! I have a Rio BBQ in one guitar, some HRWs in a 535, and various Duncan's in everything else. Keeping this one active might be the way to go but trying some other actives. That 60 sounds interesting.
  17. I am kind of thinking about taking the EMGs out of my explorer. It currently has an 81 in the bridge and an 89 in the neck. I like somethings about them (quietness, distortion for metal), and hate some things about them (way too tinny for the majority of clean stuff I like, not particularly warm). I have a myriad of other guitars with passive pups in them, so it is kind of neat having one active guitar. On the other hand, I'm not sure it is THAT neat. Any thoughts, and does anyone have a particular favorite pickup combo in explorer style guitars?
  18. Oh dear... I suddenly feel pangs of tacky 80s shred desire.
  19. Damn, you beat me to it! I bet that parody was even played on a Dumble.
  20. There will be another time, another bargain, they DO happen. Next time, it might be something even better! But I wouldn't look too hard and long, until after school is complete. I am SO glad that I didn't have the Internet(s) around to distract me when I went through school! Stay in school long enough and they will invent all kind of shit before you can get done!
  21. Lol, guys, the videos would be more funny if there weren't a shred of truth to it! Trying to find reasons to not work on this dissertation along with having to stop some other bad habits in the last six months has manifested itself into an all new bad habit it would seem.
  22. True. It's really more missing one for under $800. For whatever reason, that is the magic number in my head.
