  1. Are you sure Ace is ok with a stranger twiddling his knobs? I heard that is what got him fired from kiss the last farewell tour??
  2. Very Nice score. That one has definitely seen alot of action an. It sort of looks like the control cavity was enlarged (easy to tell if you pop off the plate and see the routing), plus getting that hole for the spot I assume a tap switch or kill switch was would be pretty tough. Sort of looks like you can even see the maple veneer on the top of this one as well. Nothing nicer than a 4 digit standard. Peter
  3. Hard life being a Male Prostitute..... Just kidding Steve. Peter
  4. Brian, I guess everyone will hear about it tomorrow. I don't think it will make CNBC and I certainly don't think any story on Jessie James going into Sex Rehab or Tiger Woods playing in the Masters is going to get bumped either. But I think this is going to be a new and interesting venture to start off 2010!!!! Hopefully more T-Bolts, Checkerboard Explorers and set neck Calis to come out of CT as well. Peter
  5. Wait a minute, you have one Already?? That sounds like sparkling news to me. Peter
  6. I have this one for sale if you don't work something out with Peter on his Blitz guitar. email me at [email protected] if you are interested. It's pre-Fender, peak Jol period Hamer 4 digit at its finest, plays and sounds pretty good too. Peter.
  7. BTT for some classic 80's Hamers. Thanks Peter
  8. For $100 more, I'll take the signature off for you...... Seriously, write me if you are interested in the guitar. Peter
  9. No love for three classic 80's Hamers???? Come on guys, points and stripes, along with a straight forward functional guitar, what more could one want????? Peter.
  10. Hello All: Sold the pieces, thanks for looking
  11. As noted, the FBIV and the US flag graphic blitz bass are sold to fellow HFC'ers. Thank you guys, hope you enjoy the basses. The El-Diablo and a cool boundtop Vector are still available. Chris-a potty trained beagle puppy for each guitar purchase, I"ll even punch a few air holes in the box this time, I don't want you kids to go into shock again. Frank, let me see what I can do to sweeten things up a bit for you. Peter
  12. Bump as I had some buyers but due to this wonderful economy, they had to take care of other priorities. Thanks Peter
  13. You ok? Maybe you should see a doctor. I recommend Dr. Fung. He has a Vector that might cure you. "the first step of the cure is....a Kiss.... they call me Dr. Love..." oopps, wrong thread and now I have to pay Gene Simmon's a royality for using his lyrics. Seriously, HOTG email me directly at [email protected] as I seem to have problems getting emails and PMs through the board. To answer your questions: The neck shape on the vector is very similar to a 80 sunburst, not a big/baseball bat/recent vintage cut shape and definitely not a later 80's skinnier neck as on a special or even the later 80's sunburst. More a medium shaped neck if that makes sense. I don't have a scale, but I would say it is very similar weight to a sunburst, I consider the guitar to be pretty light, much less than a Les Paul standard. Peter. P.S. PF-your daughter looks like she has the Jeff Watson thing down! She is going to be a heartbreaker when she gets older. Plus all her boyfriend's are going to want to come over to see Daddy's vintage toys!!!!
  14. +100000... if I wasn't going for a 335 at the moment... HI Frank-You know what I like, don't know if you still have it though....... Peter
  15. Man. Do you have a pick of the whole thang? Here you go, a few shots of the Doubleneck. Actually balances pretty good on a strap. Love the ply binding on the headstock and body and who doesn't love boomers! Nice idea Bill K!!!! Here are some other pics I found- The Paul Stanley Doubleneck. Lots of good stories about this one. Another old family shot, more "normal" Sunbursts, they are such great guitars!!! Enjoy. Peter.
  16. Hi PF: Jol made me bandsaw that one, you know another one of those factory "seconds", can't have them floating around. Just like they say, don't buy your groceries on a Monday it is all the leftover/handled stuff from the weekend, don't buy a Hamer that was made on Mondays either, unless they have had at least two cups of coffee before hitting the line. Pics to come. Peter Now this, I want to see! To keep this thread going, here are a few. The forked headstock sunburst.....Don't you just love it when Hamer decides to put a wicked twist on things. For the Electraglide fans. Plain and simple and kickass good looking. I honestly don't think you can make a more perfect headstock than this one-long explorer headstock that is bound, come on. Here is another fun one, made for Tommy Shaw, flip a switch and "listen carefully, aaaaaahhhhhhh, you can go grab a bite and it's still sustaining that note.....aaaahhhhhhh"). For the Sunburst fan, when you need that quick 12 string and BearClaw Spruce is your flavor over a maple top. When Crowns just won't do for an over-the-top guitar you have to go with boomers. (actually I believe our own Bob P. did some of the actual work on this guitar, another killer idea made for Bill Kaman). The new stuff is pretty damn good, but for us 'old folks around here, they were making some pretty nice guitars back in the 70-80's. (another one of those "factory seconds" with crown inlays but they forgot to bind the neck... ) Enjoy, Sunbursts rule or at least come in a nice second to the old standards!!! Hats off to geniuses at Hamer!!!! Peter.

  18. That was a sweet one indeed!!!! Here is an old pic I found. Added a few more since. \ That one in the front is one of those Hamer factory "seconds" where someone forgot to route it for a neck pickup and to add insult to injury the put the crowns in but forgot to bind the neck..... And we thought Gibson had bad QC. Peter.
  19. Hey Mark: thank is a GREAT Score!!!!! Very rare and very nice find!!!! I am sure you have done a killer set up on it too and that bass must really kick ass! It looks like it is peeling alittle from that cold Midwest weather, maybe you ought to let it vacation out West for the winter..... Congrats on a amazing score. Peter
  20. Very nice work on the restoration. If you need any more pictures, let me know. I can probably get you some pretty detailed pictures. Great Job!!!! Peter
  21. More interesting might be the fact that the phantom has a TOM and Stop tailpiece. Peter
  22. Oh Great Curly hair one you are correct on the Flying W. You know I always aim to please--- One "Flying W" coming right up!!!! Under Very safe Lock and Key!!!! 27 frets, running LEDs, and even has a rocket launch on the back of the headstock-god you have to love the '80s!!!! Peter
  23. The white doubleneck was sold to the HardRock. Hamer made an black version for him too.. The "Flying W" is in a very secure place right now. Peter.
  24. Matt: The white was also used in some old GHS ads too. It currently resides in a very safe place. The Hamer "Red Guitar" actually has Running LEDs and a built in wireless, Don't forget the Red Doubleneck Cali that was in the "Reaction" Large format Hamer catalog that was made for Brad. Peter
