  1. Well, at least you kept level headed like all guitarists. 🤣
  2. For me, bringing in is 99.99% of the time something that's a project that I then never end up doing anything with. Getting rid of probably my 1st year Ibanez RG550 in Atlantic Blue. Looked like this one. I had it with EMGs: 89/SA/89 with splits. It was played a lot for 15 years and I hadn't played it an ages. Great guitar that covered a lot of bases. Any Hamers I've gotten, I've kept figuring I could always sell those later.
  3. Saw a more recent interview with Huff and he said he played on the radio edit version.
  4. Thanks for the detail, Jeff, much appreciated. As with most things, haven't gotten to it as some house projects jumped out of nowhere and of course always take more time than you think they will.
  5. Good Lord, you're like the guitar ad Indiana Jones finding and getting both at once is insane. Was the bound one modified for the extra knob or ordered that way? Both look fabulous. Congratulations!
  6. That’s an Accutune Kahler knockoff on the Special.
  7. Leland Sklar tells a couple Dolly stories:
  8. Wow, this one really makes me sad. Like her music or not, Dolly wrote a lot of great songs and when you heard a song of hers, you knew it was her. And she did so much for others when she didn't have to. I'm sure she did plenty that no one ever heard about.
  9. Yeah, because other than the barrel jacks, if you had a Switchcraft, you likely didn't need another one.
  10. That's unfortunate. Have they had management change recently or something?
  11. I'd think at minimum it'd last longer the way they build their jacks.
  12. Thanks, since there were several, I wasn't sure which would be best for it. Appreciate it.
  13. I just meant in general in those days, not Skynyrd specific. "All right, you can play, now lift up that CS800 and put it in the back of the truck outside." 🤣
  14. Got an old Charvel body and a previous owner tried to do something with it, add or change the controls and layout etc, but there are pieces that broke out at the control cavity. They can kind of Tetris back together, so I feel like it could be fixed. The wood is obviously thin there too. Is there a particular glue that's better for this than others? Not afraid to try some stuff to fix it, but I'm certainly not one of our esteemed experts here. My other idea was just to fashion a piece of pickguard over the whole spot and be done with it. Thanks.
  15. Should've been a test on joining the band back then - Can you pick up a Peavey power amp?
  16. Puretone makes one, never used it though. https://puretonetechnologies.com/products/pure-tone-multi-contact-1-4-barrel-jack
  17. The CS power amps were too. Knew plenty of guys who had dropped them or they slid out of the back of a truck onto the road and still worked just fine, but with a bent rackmount ear.
  18. And then the following week, the video saying there's nothing like the pedal, then another week later, grifting one from somewhere and proclaiming it to BE sliced bread and actual sliced bread isn't even a contender.
  19. I knew this guy was no good:
  20. I'd contact them directly too just to check.
  21. I had no idea of Ritchie's medical struggles. Makes sense now when I saw him on one of these videos and thought he'd gained a fair amount of weight. His guitar was up and down in volume and yes, his playing wasn't the ripping Blackmore, but it was good to see him with the other guys again. If he has arthritis etc, makes sense as to why it wasn't Highway Star.
  22. I saw Purple in 1984 at Merriweather with Blackfoot. Great show. Wonder if he showed up like this:
  23. I instantly discount anyone holding a clip on mic, especially after having just had it clipped on. Clearly shows you don't know how to work the gear you have.
