  1. Apparently Cesar Gueikian and their marketing department. His CEO tenure seems to be put out guitars so he can meet guitarists he liked as a kid. And Christopher Lloyd, maybe?
  2. A friend had 2 Soloists in the 80s. One kind of a purplish color and another that had a graphic. Both played like melted butter.
  3. Sorry to hear about Ace. His impact on rock is pretty epic. He didn’t seem to pretend he was anything he wasn’t. RIP SpaceMan.
  4. Truth has been spoken.
  5. And improves the taste. My Peavey T-60 came with an aluminum nut. I've never had any issues with it.
  6. "Dad, I want to start a band" "What will you need? An amp and guitar?" "I can get started with a fork, a live electrical outlet and a TEMU gimp mask"
  7. Nice! Same finish as the one in my avatar! You could just get a Floyd installed. 🤣
  8. No, not this Tone King: This one: Dude makes way too much money as evidenced by the background there. PS - Don't get any tone tips from him.
  9. This of course after saying he was staying with Washburn after having the new one at the final Sabbath fest. Has he sold that many to support a whole company?
  10. It's that Tone King douche behind them. He tries to pretend it's a "factory" of Badlands, but it's Brubaker from what I've gathered and what I think that guy's one video showed, because it seems to be the area they're in. I used to drive through there a bunch. Just call Brubaker directly, IMO.
  11. To me, the Kahler was always like anything else, it just needed set up properly. I used one for many years without issue. The Tipton model is great.
  12. Ah, haven't ordered but a couple things from him (blocks and saddle inserts). The FU trem, to me, resembles ones on some of the old Peavey models. Don't know who made those, but I'd guess that's who's making the FU models. Like this Peavey one: https://reverb.com/item/938427-peavey-wolfgang-floyd-rose-lic-evh-tremolo-chrome-double-locking-guitar-bridge
  13. They're available elsewhere. Just curious, what's the beef with FU?
  14. If the nylon thing doesn't work, maybe one of those Black Box stabilizers. Aren't they supposed to allow D-tuna use? https://www.fu-tone.com/product/tremolo-black-box/ Or simply a couple squares of gaffer tape.
  15. What about one of these? https://reverb.com/item/34091962-tremolo-stopper-stabilizer-for-floyd-rose-style-bridges-nylon-screw
  16. Mine had a Duncan JB in it with I think SSL-1 neck and middle. If you have a hotter Slammer in there, I'd say a DiMarzio fast track or chopper or an Air Norton S. My two cents.
  17. But it's already in the proper color. That has to make up for at least one fret. 🤣
  18. I find that hard to believe as director Marty DiBergi was at his pinnacle when the first movie was released. At the time, his work was unparalleled. 🤣
  19. The Tone Filament debate has begun...... 🤣
  20. Looks great, but will be incomplete without the StoneTone Floyd block. 🤣
  21. I'll see it and judge it then. It's kind of the thing nowadays though. People clamor for a sequel and many love the callbacks/easter eggs etc., but for me if it doesn't work in the story, they shouldn't do it. The Star Wars sequels were a great example of that. Look, it's the Millennium Falcon, look, it's C-3PO, holy cow, this other character says she has Luke's lightsaber and shows it. The Happy Gilmore thing I knew wouldn't be anything since there was no theatrical release. Yeah, Netflix and all, but that just says to me no confidence in it. And, maybe unpopular opinion, but I've never thought Sandler could carry a movie. 2-3 minutes on a sketch with one dimension/gimmick, sure, but a couple of hours is something else.
  22. That's it. I think they both look great though, but just would rather one or the other, but then again, it wasn't mine and I didn't order or pay for it, so there's that. 🤣
  23. GLWTS. Looks cool. Is the quilt headstock their thing or yours rather than totally match the body?
  24. They had other ideas? Wasn’t the Standard made because Gibson had abandoned the Explorer?
