Thanks, it is a gorgeous guitar ( kudos Mr BCR ) I do use it - not as much as say Neil Young -lol I have 11s on it and chap stick on the nut, holds tuning nicely. I have a # of guitars with Bigsbys, and my Reverend holds the tuning better than any of them - not sure it it the material they use for the nut or that incombination with a roller bridge, but it does not go out of tune

Never posted any shots of my Hamer so what the hell - and no the Spongey fella ain't part of the band Maybe it's time for a Newport, or a Standard -lol Maybe it's time to drop a couple lbs - ha!

If this belongs to someone here - sorry - but I just don't get the thought process From TGP...... 2004 R7 Historic Les Paul "Refin" in iced tea burst This was a special run done for Dave's Guitars. This was not refinished by an outside source. The "refin" refers to the guitar looking like an original gold top that was stripped and refinished to a burst. This was done at Gibson by Gibson. Let's see - how about a strat that was stripped, routed for buckers, and a floyd and then put back to stock to make it look like stock - what do you think I could charge for that. Also was looking at the new Fend*r road worn - all the strats I saw had the exact same wear - now there's a guitar for the individualist - everyone gets the same mojo

Went to drop off a guitar atups today and found out that they cut back their hours to mon - wed. Since I needed to ship today I ended up going to fedex Things I learned 1 ) fedex does not have Fragile stickers - this is what the clerk told me 2 )The clerk stated that I should feel comfortable with my packing .... " if you dropped the package from waist high and felt nothing would get damaged no need to worry" Needless to say I didn't leave with a warm fuxxy feeling in my stomach - fingers crossed What the hell are they doing with those boxes once they leave eyesight ? I know there have been ups horror stories - at least tehy have fragile stickers - maybe I'm silly to think the drivers pay attention. I will ask ups what their standard for safety packing is

If you want to see guitars - more acoustic than electric, take a ferry ride -then a short bus ride to Mandolin Brothers on Staten Island - guitars from a couple hundred $$ to a couple hundred thousand $$$$ They will let you play any guitar in the store - very cool, friendly folks -
95 Eclipse - It's Green (that's what it says on the headstock) I'd call it Candy Green I think it has a Stadium logo - a lot bigger than the Hamer on the Studio listed below wilky wraparound bridge, S. Duncan mini hums 7/10 condition Back of the neck is clean - no dings headstock has a smaill ding on the top there are a couple of small but noticeable dings on the face of the guitar by the bridge and one towards the bottom of the guitar. There are smaller scratches and nicks if you look @ it in the right light Other thatn that - it's in great shape - I bought it from one of the folks here, and never changed a thing on it. I don't hasve a hardshell case for this guitar, but will ship it in a good gigbag $650, & I'll split the shipping 96 Studio ( says so on the headstock) - Featherweight ( 7.25 lbs) try and find one that light!! - Natural - nice flame. Wilky Wraparound bridge - Virtual PAFs, Pearloid(?) tuners 8.25/10 condition Minor dings on the face of the guitar, back of the body and neck very clean. Almost in the same shape that I got it,( from one of the folks here) with 2 exceptions. 1) currently has no pickups installed - will include the Virt PAFs I originally got with the guitar 2) has wilky wraparound instead of the one in the picture Has a Hamer HSC, $800 - and split shipping Photos of this guitar are not mine, they are from the HFCer I originally got it from 03 Newport Black Cherry with Bigsby and Phat Cats w/OHSC 8.75/10 excellent condition 2 dings - 1 on the front by the binding lower right- really not noticeable, and one on the back by the bottom you can feel it more than see it. All other marks on the pictures are finger smudges - Should have cleaned it first, ot marks ( edits) where I tried to show the smudges - a VERY clean guitar $1200 - split the shipping. 93 Hamer Diablo - Chunky Neck - just about the same green as the Eclipse listed above just recently got this one off a boardmember, and.... I'm not big on the Floyd Rose - bought it to try it out. Includes ohsc 450 + shipping - it's a big case I can provide pics of any of the guitars listed, or if someone wouldn't mind helping me post them here Contact me @ gciprut@yahoo.com or call me if you want to discuss 917 225 1467 Thanks I think most of the numbers I gave for condition of the guitars is pretty conservative

Is the one that says "It's Green" engraved on the truss rod cover considered the candy green or is that a different green?? -
Forget the guitar, it's the player - the hands!!! I've heard a guy with a fender strat, and a fender deluxe absolutely nail Duane Almman @ the fillmore tone didn't need WCRs, Lollars, Bumble Bee caps, a Darkburst re-issue 58 Les Paul, Tone Pros etc. Do the above after market devices make the guitar sound better - I think hell yes!! It's been said before, most of the tone is in the hands!! Oh yeah, the guy who was able to do it Lee Roy Parnell - country player Buy the guitar you fell most comfortable with and practice practice practice! I wonder if those ( sorry if I offend ) on TGP would play an ugly guitar that wasn't a Gibby Burst if it absolutely nailed their favorite LP PAF sound. May have gone off base a little here, but I think more of the sound ( tone) is in the hands than the mahog + maple. Wail on Skydog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rolling Stones - Love you Live The El Mocambo side Stones doing Chuck Berry, playing rock and roll, and even a little reggae -Crackin up Also try Van Morrison A night in San Francisco - it's a 2 cd set so I'll choose disc 1 as side !, but this is an AMAZING Morrison show. The Man was on all night - Incredible. Neil Young Arc/Weld - disc 2 or the equivelant would be side one - Blistering powderfinger -
I'm curious, what is the difference if you lower the pickup, but raise the polepiece? Wouldn't that be the same as keeping the pupwhere it is?? I really have zero pickup knowledge, except for the little I have gleaned from this board and some mags, so pardon any ignorance on my part. Also, would playing with the stoptail hight have any affect on this as well??
-
Has anyone done any pickup swapping with these guitars?? I find that in both of these - remember one is all mahog, and one has a maple cap, the bridge humbucker seems a little too hot for my taste. Any suggestions??
-
What is the neck like??
