  1. I disagree. It's full of contradictions, the most glaring of which is the desire for cheap American-made products. Which do you want? Cheap or American made? The two don't typically go together.
  2. It's a simple case of the brand not being marketed effectively.
  3. His comments about why he never got married would have done Tiger Woods some good.
  4. So is the price that high because of cost of labor and materials, or is it set that high to discourage orders?
  5. I write you a $25 check that doesn't bounce and I don't even get a mention? You're dead to me, man.
  6. Damn dude, you type worse than Ervin! Jol & co. got it so right with the Custom/Custom Custom combo in the Superpro. Just perfect for that guitar. The neck pickup is sweet as hell, and not even the worst soundman on earth could bury the bridge pickup in a mix.
  7. Harmony Central Amp Forumite here. This kid can play!
  8. Alerted a coworker about this. Will do my best to push him over the edge for ya!
  9. I kinda like it! I once did up the face of a Kramer Focus with various entries from the Top 100 from an issue of High Times. Very colorful!
  10. Or, "A guitar is like a toothbrush. You only stick it up your ass and give it back to the owner if you dislike that person." I echo Austin's sentiment. I let other people play my guitars at my jams all the time; as long as they're in my sight, I'm cool with it. I prefer that people I don't know play my Strats and not my Hamers, though. Currently my Cruisebass is on indefinite loan to my bass player, because he loves it so. He's welcome to play the shit out of it; I trust him, and I don't mind if he relics it up a bit.
  11. It was the LOUDEST guitar I've ever owned, plugged, unplugged or otherwise. Even after a pickup swap I could not tame it thru my main rig. Yeah, I know. When have I been opposed to LOUD? This guitar was just too much.
  12. Simply put, I was not man enough for this guitar. I wish I still had it, simply to look at it:
  13. TTL is a cover band that gets it. They were great the two times I saw them play in April. Well, I was in the same building where they played twice, but I only really "saw" them play once (that's another story entirely). I'm sure they've become even more dialed in since then (certainly evident in this recording).
  14. Seems like the download was successful but damned if I can find the file on my machine. This site has worked for me in the past, but I've only done the "email directly" option.
  15. Upload that sumbitch here: http://www.rapidshare.com/
  16. I had no idea there were Slammer Series Cruisebasses. Incredible deal there.
  17. So it is Amberburst? I assumed it was '59 Burst with not a lot of red in it.
  18. You also had to read the original TGP thread I referenced in the quote from Poe's signature. Some guy ripping on DLR's solo vocal track from "Runnin' With the Devil" and thinking he'd be congratulated for his observation. Little did he know that anyone who knows anything about music was able to recognize it as the brilliant vocal that it is. Epic fail on that guy's part, and thus my reaction.
  19. Yep. Here's a clip of one of my cohorts getting the absolute most out of my AF-9 and CMatMods Deeelay in combination, certainly more than I've ever gotten out of them: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8209547 This guy can step up to any rig or pedalboard and make them sound amazing. Pure '70s blaxploitation sounds if you ask me.
  20. Love it. Far superior to my ears than the Emma Discumbobulator, which is the cat's-ass envelope filter among all the Mogami-cable-using corksniffers out there.
  21. That I am! HEY! Let's go get us an Indian down the alley!
  22. Electric shock. The wiring sucks in this new venue we're playing at.
  23. God knows I can use all the help I can get in that area.
  24. You weigh 140 right? It might be heavier than you! There are 16 tracks (mastered for free by our own Colin) at the ReverbNation link in my sig; those comprise our demo. I also post 10 edits from every jam on our MySpace page; I'll have a new set up later today. I used to have an entire website with over 500 recordings uploaded, but that thing went tits up about a year ago, and I can't get anyone to help me get it back up and running. I still have all the recordings, though, so that's good. SoundClick will have to do for now; I add a new edit every Friday. Everything we play is improvised on the spot. In 5+ years we've never played the same thing twice.
