  1. My brother's band just released their latest music video, and I thought you guys might enjoy. No Hamer content here, but my bro plays a pretty tasty solo on this one. ...However, there IS some Hamer content in the acoustic version they did of the first single "Goin' Crazy;" the bass player is playing my brother's fretless cruisebass (i think?)
  2. If you're on the fence, I would keep them. Especially as the market seems to be softening from where it has been the last few years. What is the white semi-hollow 1 pickup V in the second pic?
  3. Looks killer! Those sustainer pickups are a lot of fun. Are the controls 2 volumes 1 tone?
  4. I actually was able to guess who was at #1 😂. I like most of the new songs he's released over the last few years, but the live performances are a different story.
  5. It's in great condition for being over 20 years old. I think it was the Florence store?
  6. Saw this last week whilst I was idly scrolling through the used guitars on the GC website. It was listed by a Guitar Center in KY as a "Hamer USA STUDIO SUNBURST;" Looks to me like whoever took it in priced it as a mid-90s Studio, when the pictures clearly showed a 2005 Studio Custom. Was really not in the market for another guitar, but you know how that goes. It came in today and looks great! I was a little worried about it being shipped during the current cold snap, but it made it through in one piece. Ridiculously clean with a Hamer HSC. The action is a touch higher than I prefer ATM, but it plays and sound great. The only issue I can see is that the jack is starting to go, but that's easy enough to sort out. Here's a quick shot I took when I brought it in.
  7. I checked these out last week. The Phantom and Daytonas were all too heavy for my liking--I'm dealing with some long term back issues so weight can be a deal breaker, generally speaking. The Daytonas played decent and looked to be in good condition, although I didn't really scrutinize them. My only experience with bolt-neck Hamers is my T-62, so I was kind of surprised at how heavy the Daytonas were.
  8. Another new song from the band my brother plays guitar in--he's playing on the rhythm track, but not the solo for this one. This one is about werewolves, so kind of fitting for Halloween

  9. https://reverb.com/item/92249360-hamer-special-p90-yellow No affiliation (obviously.) Most of the Specials that I see come up for sale are from 92/93 with the thinner necks. This one looks to have a more substantial neck and is pretty lightweight as well. Not the absolute cheapest Special I’ve seen lately, but not too bad of a price IMO.
  10. …Check out One Time Mountain!! Full disclosure—my brother is their new guitar player and plays lead on this song, so I’m obviously a little biased. That being the case, I think the video turned out pretty great. They have another video ready to go, and are finishing up a full length album for release next year. They also recorded an acoustic session that will be coming out sometime in the future, for which the bassist played my brother’s fretless cruise bass.
  11. No affiliation. This looks like a killer deal to me. Would be super tempted if I didn’t already have something being delivered tomorrow. https://reverb.com/item/91570319-hamer-artist-25th-anniversary-1998
  12. Can't go wrong either way, but I like number 1 a little better.
