  1. https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Hamer/Vintage-Vintage-1996-Hamer-USA-SPECIAL-SUNBURST-Solid-Body-Electric-Guitar.gc?algoliaQueryID=413495374a58a51f756a032c4fbfe97f&algoliaIndexName=pHL-guitarcenter Labeled as a 1996 but it's a sustain block with a serial of 1 3101. I don't follow Hamers of this era as closely, but that's a 1981, right? Doesn't seems like a crazy good price, but posting in case anyone cares about it.
  2. I was one of the other guys on the Facebook group possibly interested in spliting, depending on he wants. He really hasn't seemed like he wants to sell them honestly.
  3. I know they are a set, but I would like to hear a price on the non-pro tally there if anyone is only looking for the pro. I tried to reach out to the guy on FB but he doesn't accept messages from non-friends based on his settings it seems.
  4. I saw that one last night and don't think I recall the last time one of these came up. I'm sure that's a just right guitar for someone. If I had sold a couple more guitar soff lately, I think I would take a shot at it myself.
  5. Oh man, I wish a few of my guitars for sales have move already - this look amazing! You mentioned shipping if nessecary - where are you located for local sale?
  6. I originally saw it on eBay as well from one of the local broker/resellers who buys it and then ships it to you like them for the overhead price, usually 400-600 of more extra. Since the photos had the watermark, it was pretty easy to find the direct source. The eBay one would not be with the shop but more like a private sale, the way I understand it. I've never used one to get a guitar before.
  7. TC-Gakki in Japan has 2003 Monaco Superpro listed for 180,000 Yen and 39,000 shipping to the US. Assuming conversions are correct, that would be 1,217.72 and 263.84, give or take. I'm not sure if that's a great price combined, or fees on top, but it looked like a nice one in the photos. I know some of your folks are expeirneced with bring back US guitars from Japan so figured it was worth sharing in case. I feel like I've read about bringing back USA made guitars to the states didn't require the same duties/fees if documented correctly, but that was a few years back. https://tcgakki.com/en/products/monaco-super-pro
  8. If I was going the pedal route, the best thing I've tried is the Origin Effects Revival Drive Hot Rod Edition. It's expensive, but I don't think I've tried anything else that really does what it does, especially the big one with the ghoting feature. If I was tryingt to save a few bucks, I would mabe look at a Lovepedal Purple Plexi, but I woud also run it with a boost and EQ to help get there.
  9. Seems like the auction went for even less than last time. I think the reserve is $5000+ as he was trying to sell this one for like $6000-6500 or more previously, if I recall correctly.
  10. I see that Vector is back up there. The owner was trying to sell in the Hamer Facebook groups for a while as well, for a bit over market, I believe. Regardless, it's a nice-looking one for sure!
  11. The website takes offers in case anyone enjoys putting lowballs in for fun and testing the waters. Assuming it was like 2120-ish shipped from the website and all as a benchmark. I now own the Magnificent Seven, which was for sale, and it will be staying put at least. I would have bought both if I hadn't grabbed a Triple Threat earlier this year. $6K into Hamers in the year is my reasonble max. I did think to buy the other and just put it up for sale here at my cost, thinking that someone might flip it, but it was gone quickly. I also didn't want to rationalize two new guitars arriving at once to my wife, even though she is wildly understanding and generally supportive of it all.
  12. I agreed that this is the first go-to for me if I were to sell a Hamer, especially nice ones that are harder to come by, like these two studios. However, I can also see the advantage of what seems to be consignment and selling through a shop, which avoids any hassle with shipping and other issues. Folks on here had a shot with this PSA post, and they were up for longer than I thought they would be.
  13. Looks like the Hamer Daytonas are up now on https://thunderroadguitars.com/store/?s=hamer&condition=&sort=
  14. These are some of the best-priced Hamers I've seen at Thunder Road Guitars in a while! That blue one looks to be gone from Reverb already. I called TRG PDX to ask about these and see if they had received any other Hamers at the same time. It was just these two from the same owner, who seemed to be into quilt tops. Edit - Looks like both of these guitars belonged to a member of HFC. The blue quilt sold on here about 10 years ago and was owned by a couple of people at least.
  15. The Black/White 78 Eruption EVH is back on Adorama for $650 now https://www.adorama.com/ev5107900576.html?sdtid=18336244&emailprice=t&sterm=ySnzwyTJDxyIUVVSKC1pJX2RUksTZpTdUwhKQo0&utm_source=rflaid62905&utm_medium=affiliate
  16. Another likely fake one folks! Same photos again. A lot of the CL scam post area really good price, but not like they used to be for like an R9 for $1000 sort of thing. https://reverb.com/item/81970300-2001-usa-made-hamer-guitar-archtop-studio-custom-59-flame-maple-w-ohsc?show_sold=true It sold about 1 year ago with an offer but it was listed at 2300 to start. Doesn't seem like it went for 1300 range. Most Hamers show up on my feed on Reverb so these were all a little familiar as I look at every listing at some point, I guess.
  17. Possibly a scam listing like others showing up lately on CL for a good/great but not crazy price. This one was sold in Canada for likely a bit more 6 months ago: https://reverb.com/item/85881418-hamer-standard-usa-2007-59-burst-5aaaaa-flame?show_sold=true
  18. I reached out to the shop with the OP guitar to see how heavy. They said it weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz. So, not crazy, but also not light.
  19. Matching head stock, single vittory inlay, ebony(?) board, etc. Looks like it would be one that would be hard to come by again? The heavy bit would turn me off on it but it sure is cool.
  20. These just keep on dropping in price it seems. THey had the black and white striped '78 for $800 for a bit.
  21. Hi Tildeslash - feel free to send me an email at WorstBandNameEver[@]gmail.com regarding that Hamer Artist

  22. I have a new job and summer time is busy, but quiet, so a lot of time to have music going in my office. I've been doing a lot of Goat Rodeo Sessions with Yo-Yo Ma, Chris Thile, Edgar Meyer, and Stuard Duncan, mostly the newer album from 2020, Not Our First Rodeo. This is their earlier stuff live on NPR Tiny Desk Concerts.
  23. Hey - I came across your profile when trying to learn about vintage-style explorers.  It looks like you have or had a Navigator N-EX-LTD.  The few folks that I've come across who have played them seem to put them towards the top of the heap.  Is that true for you?  Seems like you own a lot of cool guitars.  Not like a Navigator Explorer is readily available regardless, haha.

  24. Hey DaveL - I'm interested in the Hamer Artist Korina.  Is that neck the vintage round profile?  Are the Mojotone pickups the quiet p90 ones (only asking as I've never tried a quiet p90 but heard good things about those).  I was going to PM you but don't really know how it seems, but this public message was an option.
