  1. Yeah, that is a cool looking piece for stage, I bet. And the price was right!
  2. I'm always throwing out picks. If you got 'em, send 'em. d
  3. I use heavy strings, heavy picks, and ultra long straps. 59", or better. Rock!
  4. Kill switch effect, and instant volume transitions between various pick ups? Just a couple reasons. btw... cool bass. Is yours also, like 900 lbs!?!
  5. Ain't That a Shame... I still love 'em!
  6. Curious... Was this the thinner bodied one, or were those earlier?
  7. It was Floyd'd and put back, in description. And talks about additional routing for the floyd visible, and locking nut removed. So the screws/bolts were in at one time.
  8. Murkat, What's the black liquid stuff you used on the body? To antique it, or polishing?
  9. Yes, my bid would have been set up on that first day I'm pretty sure, 'cuz that's about when I left town. Wonder why they'd make it shorter, 'less they had some bills to pay? So it was a sort of technical hiccup. Well, both the seller, and I lost out on it. That's ok, 'cuz the 'bird' is on it's way. Though, they would have looked nice together. So, who got it?
  10. I don't think the auction was ended early...I think it ran its course. I was watching the auction for a couple of days including its final day so knew it was ending that evening...I just didn't get home in time to see it close. No, it ended early. I had a considerably larger max bid, and it didn't even process. Response was that it had been ended early. That would explain why it didn't execute. Just looking for an explanation why it didn't process, and that would be logical.
  11. So what was the dealio on this one? Was it ended earlier? I understand, if someone made a nice offer, just wondering.
  12. I can respect that. Looks great! And a nice color.
  13. Is that Orianthi(?) on guitar?
  14. Alice is on! Channel two. FYI... I read somewhere they stop your feed after 2hours. If true, I don't know. But being near the end, it shouldn't matter.
  15. Damn, wanted to see Alice. Got to head out in about 25 minutes. Maybe I'll catch a glimpse? I was on there earlier. It sure is cool to be able to watch as Crunchee stated!
  16. Sweet! I be first to offer the tree-fitty! Looks like a nice fat neck. Dave
  17. I do? Don't tell me. Just got back in town. Fill me in. Btmn's? Dave OK, I see my messages now. Very cool.
  18. Still trying to figure out. My higher max bid didn't get this? Was out of town. Was diggin' the color.
  19. I totally hear you. Reminds me of the art you'd see in the dressing room at the H.O. B.
  20. You saying only a blind man would play such a geetar? Didn't Hamer have custom stuff done 'out of house'?
  21. I got a hold of this one quite awhile ago. Thinking it came this way, but who knows? What you guys think? Crowned, not bound. 1988 Scarab, very interesting paint under clear, what I can see. Initials R.C. 88' near input jack shed any light? Hamer U.S.A. logo on headstock. Didn't come with case. Any log info on this 8 20503 ? Thanks! Dave
  22. Hope this works, and I know it's only a pic from my phone. Trying to figure the image posting thing. Sorry, better ones to come. But quickies for now... It's a great guitar. Loved playing this one on stuff like The Strokes in the cover band. So... You just copy/paste the photos?!!!! I was trying to use that damn 'image' tool, in the tool bar to no avail!!! edited to show serial, and full shot. Time to go swimming with the lil' monsters. Dave
  23. Also gold hardware, b & c. I'll post a couple pics. I've uploaded them. Can't add on mobile site. Andrew says it's 1979, but I see an early one. No shim, not the longest of headstocks. Sustainblock, I think it has the transitional saddles though.
