  1. Aaaaah Peavey. Borderline.
  2. OK, my new pet-peeve. The size of logos on manufacturers products. Is it just me or are these a wee bit over-the-top in size???
  3. I used to think a simple, no-frills Wah was best too. Since getting the RMC with variable Q, I have one main tone setting that I use. But, to get to that, I had to find it. I just like being able to really dial in the exact tone & wah range I want perfectly, something I couldn't do with a fixed Q Wah. I owned a Budda, which was very nice, but sounded different with each type of guitar (Single-coil vs. Buckers). I found it interesting trying all ones I did. There really is a huge difference in tone even in similar Fasel Wahs.
  4. Haven't tried that one, but I went through a Wah hunt about 2 years ago. I bought/sold about 1/2 dozen of the top boutique Wah's (Area 51, RMC, Budda, Fulltone etc) I settled on the Teese RMC 2. Best overall Wah tones. With 11 rotary tones and adjustable Vol & Q, anyone can find their tone in there. (Mine's the normal Gray color - No sure I like the new blue they sell though) The band tells me to use it more cause it sounds so good! Teese RMC2 Wah
  5. My Redwood was amazing. Some believe Redwood is brighter, I didn't notice that. There are so many other elements in the entire guitar, Brazilian rosewood neck, SLU p/ups etc. Overall, they are exceptional instruments. And they look awesome!!!
  6. We do that song live and it always gets 'em going.
  7. Kinda' scares me that he says... That's a 'red flag' for it plays like crap and I'm posting there's something wrong so you can't come back to me later that I didn't tell you so.Just my 3ยข
  8. So, can I custom order a Vector like this...
  9. And then watch the prices of 4-digits and other choice pieces go up!
  10. Happy Birthday!!!
  11. The B-bender is on so many tracks. Jimmy Page used one on a ton on Zep tunes.
  12. The ToneQuest Report raves about this delay.
  13. Lou Reed. He can't sing for sh!t, but I like this tune where he speaks it. Lou Reed - "Baby Face"
  14. I loaned a vintage EFX box to a friend once and never got it back. That's was the end of any loaning. Not worth it. But, I don't mind any friends playing my axes/amps while I'm there.
  15. Price Drop. OCD is SOLD! $100 for MXR. Shipped/PP'd
  16. Price Drop... A couple of popular pedals. Fulltone OCD & MXR Carbon Copy Delay. Both latest versions. And both look brand-new. No velcro (I had some small pieces on both, but carefully removed them without damage or residue. So, they both look perfect. The OCD works on both 9v or with 18v for extra headroom. Original boxes included with both. Fulltone OCD (Version 4) SOLD!! MXR Carbon Copy (Version 2) $100. Includes shipping & Paypal. No trades.
  17. I respect Andy Brauer as he's one of the best amp techs in the world and has owned, repaired and played most all Marshalls. He's more than well respected. If he thinks it was the best clean tones, that good enough for me! I guess it's in the ear of the beholder. Did you read the VG article?
  18. This JTM30 uses 2 actual 6L6s, not 6V6's.
  19. Thanks Siaip. Yeah, these are great sounding amps and easily compete with amps 3x as much.
  20. PRICE DROPPED $600 Shipped/PP'd Pretty Rare, Marshall JTM30 1x12" Combo. Super clean. Excellent condition. Works perfect. All original. These are hot, hot, hot right now after the killer article "Sleeper Amps" in Vintage Guitar Magazine. They truly sound killer. Considered the best clean tone Marshall has ever built. (The Overdrive channel roars too!) They are pretty hard to find as they were only built for 2-3 years. Here's one that is all original, no mods, no scratchy pots or jacks, and very low hours. New JJ 6L6 power tubes. (I replaced the original 5881's as recommended in the VG article) Tolex covering is really clean with only one tiny ding on the back bottom edge. Celestion G12 speaker. 2 channels, Master Volume, 3-spring Accutronics Reverb, EFX loop and Speaker Emulated output. It's a loud 30 watts, plenty enough to play in band/gig setting, plus it has an excellent sounding Master Volume for quieter use. Comes with a/c power cable and manual. (No footswitch, but any single-button, mono 1/4" cable, switch will work. I've tried one from another amp and it switches perfectly) Here's a link to the Vintage Guitar article: VG Article $600. Shipped/Paypal'd ernie.santella@comcast.net
