I don't remember when it went down, but I guess this luthier who works in some big shop in LA decided he wanted a Dean Firebird, so he slaughtered an E'Lite, made a Firebird body, and put the two together. Viola! Dean Firebird! It plays great, too, and sounds even better with the WCR Fillmores. I DIG!

Yep, I kept it. I moved a couple of other $ guitars and bought some Japanese ones. I think, actually, after cleaning house, I have MORE guitars than I had before.

$110 shipped in continental US. No bar, studs, springs, claw-just the trem. It was in my Culprit when I bought it and was replaced with a chrome OFR to keep the factory look. The knife edges are perfect, but there is a little bit of wear of the black plating on the corner closest to the "S" in "Schaller". It has a 34mm block right now but I could put a 42mm on if you need it, free of charge.

both great amps. i'm surprised - many german amps are played here. but i can understand the choice for those I honestly never would have tried them, let alone owned them, were it not for a friend of a friend of a friend who knew this guy who worked for Framus... ...know what I mean? I got a pretty good deal on them both, but now I know they're worth the asking $, for sure.

I run either a Framus Cobra or Dragon through a Metaltronix Killer Kab, depending on what I'm going for.

I think the problem that a lot of people had with the Pacer was not the "fishbowl" look that it conjured up in one's mind, but the tendency that they had to explode when tapped on the back bumper. They fell out of favor after that realization. Wasn't that the Pinto?

FYI....I put a set of Penta KT-88 in my Master Vol Marshall. If sticking with the EL34's I'll recommend JJ E34l for current production. The Svets are good but I prefer the JJ. If you are a high gain guy which I suspect you are you won't like it unless you have a a high gain mod like a Voodoo mod done to it. Don't know if they have one for your model though. Talk to your tech and see what he can do. Were I to play it often, I'd want it to be pretty much bone stock. Sometimes I'm a high gain guy, and sometimes I'm not. When we're doing covers of AC/DC and The Cult, the amount of gain I get out of this thing is pretty much all I need. The kicker for the Framus heads was the 2nd master. A real, honest to God LEVEL boost, unlike running an OD into the front of a Marshall which (and I don't care what anybody says) only gives a gain boost and no additional volume. JJs, huh? Again, I'm not really sure what condition it's really in, but I noticed the bottom end is flabby as hell. Any particular tubes could change that?

After I take it in for a good freshening, I'll see how I feel about it.

Yes...those knobs.....If the amp is sporting EL34's....might as well leave it that way as the Bias resistor (s) had to be changed in order to accomodate the EL34's.... Did ya get that one from me???......How much ya want for it??? Well, I think I bought it from you for 850. It still sounds just like it did, but now the preamp pot is all fuckered up, probably from extremely limited use. It only seems to work when it's dimed. Neither of my Marshalls get any use anymore since I got my Framuses, so I want to let them both go. Let's pm about it dude...if we talk much more here, it should probably get moved to the FS section :angry:
