  1. Feel I bought my second Wolfgang and even though I loved my first one it just didn't feel as nice for some reason. Literally from the day I got it the my first Wolfgang went unplayed. So down the road it went and I've had that second one for nearly 10 years and it is still my number one guitar. I've probably gone through 100 guitars in those 10 years probably over a dozen Wolfgangs and just late last year I found another keeper. Strange cause they're all CNC made with very little human craftsmanship to them. As for it sounding good through a variety of amps.....no way, I've never seen a guitar that can sound like heaven through one amp and pure shit through another, like a Wolfgang. It hates Fenders and I used to love my Fender amp. Now I play Genz Benz another keeper.
  2. So I was at Greggies shop one day playing his Hornet and I was complaining that an SG I had the neck was so flexible that it would go out of tune just from the pressure of your hand on the neck. So Greg strums his guitar and holds it parallel to the floor(by the headstock) and literally shakes the shit out of it. I'm expecting the neck to snap at the body but the damn thing didn't even waver. I was more than impressed and had a little damp spot in my pants too.
  3. I got it but I think I may have to let it go. To much GAS not enough money so if anybodys interested in it I have $440.00 in it and would like that out of it
  4. I was screwing around with a cool chord progression at practice one day (something guitar players never do) and the bass player sez "wow Season of the Witch cool song" I'd never heard of it. Went home You Tubed it and sure as shit had it down pat. Right key and everything. I don't remember hearing the song and if I had it must have been 20 years ago
  5. I used to have an old Premier 40 watts all tube from the 60's that sounded awesome. Stupid me sold it.
  6. The 2 best guys I've seen for connecting with an audience were Rod Stewart and Johnny Cash Rod Stewart, in an arena, just made you feel as though you were invited to the party. With the Faces, they were a sloppy bar band, but man it was a fun concert. Later concerts the musicianship was a lot more professional, but he has a real charisma to him. Johnny Cash was in a smaller venue, (bout 3000) for me it was hero worship, he played every song I wanted, seemed like a humble, regular guy. I worked my way up through the crowd so I was close enough to tie his shoes!! Most entertaining show was KISS Was like a day at the circus, and no one could ever accuse them of being great musicians. Seen Van Halen in the early 80's and on the last Sammy tour and I have to say I was disappointed both times. For all the press about the great show they were good musically in the 80's, sucked later Roth was overrated, Sammy should sell cars for a living.
  7. Sorry John I just traded off a SG to get this guitar. I'd really love a Monaco Elite
  8. The Baggs piezo is quite brite sounding. If you drop the treble way down on the amp it sounds very good. I ran the magnetic pups through my amp and the piezo through the PA and used my stomp box tuner as my switch. (left the piezo on and kicked the magnetic pups in and out)
  9. Sorry guys neither one is what I'm looking for
  10. I just got the guitar about 2 weeks ago. I was told it was and aftermarket install. It doesn't have the micro switch ect, hooked up. I have all that stuff but you would have to drill a hole in the top or else wire it up with push pull pots. The way its' wired up now is the 'tone control' is the piezo volume.
  11. Got this in trade and it's just not me. I had a Hamer Monaco Elite and have regreted selling it so when this came up I thought why not try it. The guitar plays and sounds amazing. Awsome flame maple top, semi hollow mahogany body, mahogany neck and rosewood board. Seth Lover pups, plus it has a LR Baggs piezo installed. Check out the pics to see that it's in phenominal condition. Stereo cord plus OHSC inc. Sell for $1250.00 plus shipping and paypal or trade for a Hamer Monaco Elite or maybe a Gibson LP Deluxe . http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c299/roc...Hamer%20Artist/
  12. We play in a small (I mean a really tiny) bar and I take my Genz Benz El Diablo 100 and 2 Marshall Vintage cabinets (25 watt Greenbacks) The GB is the only head I can turn down and still sound HUGE. I tried taking my GB Combo but the other guys in the band said it didn't sound as full. They don't mind helping to carry it so WTF why not. See it tonight in Bechtelsville Pa.
  13. Aqualung by Jethro Tull not only a story but one I can relate to "eyeing little girls with bad intent" Every song Steve Earl has ever done
  14. Growing up in the 70's he was all over the radio. Then I thought he was a little to mellow but as my tastes matured I've grown to appreciate the writing and singing talent. Though a lot of his stuff was way overproduced. Goodbye Again great song
  15. Both electric or acoustic Light my Fire Doors Main Street Bob Seeger Intro to Hot For Teacher........ Thats required playing no matter what
  16. K.T.B....... best brother a guy could want, we've shared a love of all things musical since we were little kids. I remember using the pots and pans as drums pretending we were the Monkeys and the "band" we made out of pictures of Jesus at our grandmothers church. Man, I wish we had a picture of that. 51 how'd you get so old and I'm still a juvenile HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO
  17. I wonder if Bruce would be interested in a trade for my vintage made in India Squier Strat. With all Indian parts. These are going to be collectible someday as they don't make them there anymore. It has real imitation made in India pickups that are the same color as the American ones and the wood is real wood just like the American one and the paint is......well you get the picture. The American ones that they still make are worth tens of thousands of dollars now so imagine what this one will be worth cause they're not made there anymore. It had a list price of well over a thousand dollars I'm sure. C'mon Bruce trade me. Edited to say I tried to stay out of it, but I couldn't resist
