This article says that the Eclipse discontinued 1998.

Tourquiose Eclipse with Seymour Duncans Serial #: 049544.  $1,000.  https://reverb.com/item/78115988-hamer-usa-eclipse-1999

Shipping from Hong Kong. Good rating of 98 positive reviews. The dude prides himself on selling top shelf guitars. The USA Logo a little different on headstock from earlier versions, that may have come about during factory switch. I imagine pickups swapped. Schaller Tuners says Made in Germany.

The nut not same as others, although I found one same color 12 string likely same.

That would have been after the move to New Hartford, CT. It could have been a left over body from Arlington Heights or a special order. They had the programs for the CNC and the holding fixtures as well. I remember see the cabinet with the different body style fixture on one of the HFC open house tours.

That seems to be more of a Special/Eclipse hybrid, a proper Eclipse should have mini hums and a wrap tail? Is it an Eclipse with Special treatment?, or a Special with Eclipse body contour?

Many Eclipses have a stop tailpiece.  (Mine does.). That green Eclipse has odd-looking pickup routes though!  As far as I know, all Eclipses came with the SD hot mini-humbuckers.

Any identification on serial # 049544, and why this Austrialian gym teacher living in Hong Kong listed same as 1999, when guitar stopped production 1998??

It seems most, if not all green guitars were produced as 12 strings. This set of pickups likely from factory, due to the fact that they are similar to the Special reverse neck pickup. Some criticism over mini humbuckers, and these Humbuckers look rather good. I may buy one for myself (my son made this purchase after he missed warning shot from me that it could be a fake). The dealer looks legit. I have a DiMarzio PAF virtual I will likely consider installing. It's odd & quirky.

What is the probablilty that Hamer produced a customized model during this timeframe?? Dealer made a reference he was going to list as a Stevie Nicks model and I'm not clear what he meant.

The pickups, combined with LP tailpiece looks professional from shop. All other guitars have a plate around pickups, there doesn't seem to be room for one.

There was a run of Eclipse guitars with humbuckers ordered in 1999/2000 for a Japanese dealer.  I have pics that Tom Bollum sent me back then (35mm) from a musical instrument fair, and there were 4-6 of them hanging in various colors.
This is almost certainly from that run.

Somewhere in the late 90's, Hamer thickened up the font in the USA,   I owned a couple that I bought new that had that font.

cool axe...  sorry I missed it.
