neastguy Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 (edited) I think this is a 96' I will get more info.. every now and then I put this guitar up.. I'll have to weight it.. I think its in the high 7's. This is a really nice guitar and in really good condition... I did add pearl tuner keys and recently had the barrel jack replaced with a new one... so its ready to go.. I have live clips of it... OHSC I just remembered I may have updated the tailpiece to one with less of a break angle.. if I did.. the original should be in the case arrrgghh just doing this on a whim I do love this guitar but life is too short not to experiment Ive decided to keep it for now again.. .. I cant find a delete button Edited December 5, 2025 by neastguy 13 Quote

Dr. Bear Posted July 14, 2025 Posted July 14, 2025 Looks like the Lightning tailpiece made in Hampshire, UK. I have ordered at least 7 and installed them on Newport Pros, Artists and Studios. “Feel” is softer, bending smoother. A light touch helps (I ditched flatpicks in ‘83). I would not recommend these tailpieces for a player with a heavy fretting hand, a heavy or extra heavy pick, or who plays mostly barre chords as it would be too easy to play sharp. But for me, they’re wonderful. One can order them directly from the UK and there is an authorized reseller in the US on Reverb. Both are very pleasant gents. Meantime, GLWTS! 3 1 Quote

Camstone Posted November 7, 2025 Posted November 7, 2025 What is neck carve like? Some the 90s Hamers have a slim neck. If it’s a chunky, vintage shape I may be interested. Thanks Quote

I'm pretty sure that I've seen this video clip on HFC before, but the context I cannot remember. Nice playing, but too bad that you are blocked by that stupid pole. I have four: a 1995 Artist, a 1996 Artist Custom, a 1999 Artist Ultimate, and a 2002 Artist Korina with three minihumbuckers (it came stock with three P90s). Tee hee! I should go get one out of its case right now. 4 1 Quote
MPR Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 I'm tempted, but I need someone to buy my Mirage before I can justify buying another guitar. 1 Quote
