My wife went out and purchased a WalMart First Act guitar for my son when he was around five years old. The original bridge was a piece of bent metal that was placed way too close to the nut for any hope of playing in tune. I bought this inexpensive Guitar Fetish bridge ($12), put it in the correct position and it tuned up nicely.

ETA: okay, that one is Out of Stock. There's this one for about the same price and also in stock, but doesn't mount on all four corners like your example. Both bridges are top-loaded rather than though body if that is an issue.

There’s a brand name stamped in the base plate— Where did the image come from?

It's from a Melancon Custom T. Someone removed the original and replaced it with a Fender Ash Tray model. Gerard Melancon has passed so getting one from him is impossible.

Pretty sure that's a Gotoh hardtail bridge. Carvin used to use them on their "bolt" series guitars. Great bridges. So what if they don't look cool?

It could be either (or both). Gotoh has been making Wilkie hardware for many years.
