BoogieMKIIA Posted February 3 Posted February 3 One of the first concerts I saw. Such harmonies. Michael Alsip had great fuzz tones and a Leslie. 5 Quote
Willie G. Moseley Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Yeah, the emphasis was on vocals but their backing band was crackerjack. That third album, Captured Live at the Forum, was all covers but was entertaining 1 Quote
hamerhead Posted February 3 Posted February 3 So many great songs. 'Out in the Country' still gets regular play around here. I remember hearing 'Joy to the World' for the first time on some awards show (Grammy's, possibly) and thinking it sounded like shit. Of course it went on to be a huge hit. Three Dog Night got a lot of play around our house growing up. R.I.P., Mr. Negron. 1 Quote
Steve Haynie Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I saw Chuck Negron on his 77th birthday in 2019. He had an oxygen machine on the side of the stage with a hose going up his back. Two tiny tubes came down from the frame of his eyeglasses into his nose. Chuck joked about it when he took a moment just to breathe. He sang like he did when he was young. You would not have known he had that oxygen if you were sitting way in the back. 6 Quote
hamerican gigolo Posted February 4 Posted February 4 TDN had great vox & the band was first rate. They had an uncanny knack for picking great songs. R.I.P. 😞 2 Quote
