Mike Brooks Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Good day all! I'm going to sell my 2006 Hamer Standard (6 55072). I'd like to get $7000 for it. Plus $100 for shipping. It was signed by Rick Nielsen and the person I got it from (Brian Grilli, singer/songwriter in Va Beach) stated that it was from Rick's personal collection and the signature was the result of it selling at a charity auction. I know some hate that it is signed but the signature will easily buff out. Attached are the pics I have. If interested, I can send more detailed pictures. I need to figure out how to downsize the photos. It is in Excellent condition. Thanks !! 5 Quote
Dave Scepter Posted July 11 Posted July 11 You never see the Black/White USA Standards for sale "unless it's a 4 digit or import"... GLWTS 👍 5 Quote
The Shark Posted July 14 Posted July 14 (edited) I have a buddy that gets stars to sign guitars. He's been doing it for years. He uses a certain type of marker that rubs off with just a little elbow grease. He'll photograph the autograph on the guitar (kind of artsy) and wipe it clean for the next "star". Collects 8x10 glossies of famous signatures on guitars, without the permanency. Killer guitar! They ain't makin' them anymore... Edited July 14 by The Shark 1 Quote
Mike Brooks Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 I looked through every serial number finder / generator etc….that’s what I got . But initially I thought 96 as well. I must admit when I picked this guitar up I don’t think I was paying much attention to what the owner was saying. I just wanted it. I’ve had it about 4 years now. 2 Quote
The_Cali_Kid Posted July 14 Posted July 14 According to the below source the first Hamer in 2000 was numbered 050156, which would tie up with Mike’s original claim of it being a 2006. 1 1 Quote

Ahhh, that makes sense... its the "50155"/"50156" following the first digit that I always forget about... I have a same color 1997 Standard... Thanks for posting that list 👍 3 Quote

( the one on the right is the only font I know thru the years) If anyone has the same font on USA as the one on the left, I'd really like to look. Just want to learn something I didn't know before...or did I? Edited July 14 by JustKid 1 Quote

Steve Haynie Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Hamer would have ordered logo sheets in batches. Someone filling an order may have pulled up the font on their computer and printed out what looked good on that day. The "USA" definitely changed over the years. 2 Quote
