morningstar Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 1995 USA Daytona for sale. $550 shipped to the Continental USA ONLY. Its a deep blue trans over ash. The guitar is a player not a museum piece. There are the typical facial impressions all Daytonas seem to gather. A prior owner obviously had a bracelet or something as it made about four rounded impressions (pencil head wide, quite shallow). Nothing serious but they are there. A little corrosion in the original Wilky trem. I have the bar...it's at the rehearsal space in my big bag-o-bars presently. There's small amount of fret wear. Original hard shell case, a couple dime size nicks in the tolex it is otherwise 100%. It has a Hot Rails in the bridge. It came with the original duncan single, but I will have to find that too. My stuff got scrambled a bit when I got a rehearsal pit (50 miles away). I will include that and may have to shipo it after the guitar, but you will get it. It also comes with the Wilky saddle height adjustment tool. No, I will not consider selling that separately. There's no issues at all with this guitar. No goofy stuff. Holds tune like only a bolt on Hamer can. I hate to see it go, but I must find money to pay for my ESP Michael Wilton model. Here's some pics. These always seem to come up links...oh well...
Lockbody Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Man, all the cool Daytonas come up for sale after I buy a Strat.
morningstar Posted June 4, 2006 Author Posted June 4, 2006 Here's more pics...these are from the guy I bought it from... The back cover is ON the guitar...it was off when my seller shot his pics. Nyeeeehaw. Tommy
morningstar Posted June 4, 2006 Author Posted June 4, 2006 I have no way to weigh it.It is not light, but it's not a brick-0-caster either. Pretty much what you might expect from a Les Paul standard of unremarkable weight.I am off to rehearsal (and to fetch the trem stick)...morningstar
morningstar Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 It's worth selling for less here -- to make sure it stays in the family. If I have to eBay it, it will no doubt go higher. I would like to avoid that.Tommy
morningstar Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 Hmm your message was a broken graphic with no words. The guitar goes to eBay at about 7-9 pm PDT, Thursday, June 9, 2006.morningstar

Lockbody Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Somebody buy it - plus M-star's good ppl! I'm tryin' ovah heah!
Lockbody Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 TransBlue Daytonas rule! good snag LB... Izzat factory? That one makes me feel all funny inside.
Lockbody Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Not factory, the Rios were added later on by the gentleman who sold it to me. I still can't believe I stumbled across this thing in the Santa Fe Thrifty Nickel (and I had never heard of "Hamer"!) Color me lucky I guess... Sorry, I meant the humbucker. That guy routed for the humbucker, too?
Lockbody Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Wooooo! What a git fiddle! I'm still not a big fan of that Wilky trem, and the jury is still out on the APS', but overall it's like meeting an old friend again. I played Strats for a bunch of years, but that 9 1/2" fretboard radius and I just don't get along anymore. Thanks again Morningstar. PS Anybody wanna buy a Strat?
