peedenmark7 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 adding a sunburst or two...prefer bound and crowned pieces, opaque black/red .a clean '80-2 trans cherry trans dot considered.....or the right '70s natural finish.NO mods other than simple pickup swaps, so no tap or phase switches please. ... must have ohsc...
Guest pirateflynn Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Never underestimate a few well designed mini switches. Giant Fender amp style knobs are cool, too. Decals take the cake!
iownit4 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I have a 96 goldtop bounded & crown with P 90's any interested ..
peedenmark7 Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 those toggles must have been there a long time having the white platic tips on them ! but its the carvin pickups that make it !
serial Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Why have just six polepieces when eleven per coil will do?
peedenmark7 Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 its mighty quiet out there. must be summer... :0
tafkathundernotes Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Why have just six polepieces when eleven per coil will do? "Ours go to eleven..."
David B Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Why have just six polepieces when eleven per coil will do? That's funny. I always thought it was 12. I never counted. I never owned any either.
serial Posted June 29, 2006 Posted June 29, 2006 Switch or not, that one's a beauty. Really nice burst-I remember the first time it came into the shop!
peedenmark7 Posted June 29, 2006 Author Posted June 29, 2006 looks to be very clean as well... love the color... ohsc?
BCR Greg Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 I am here. Until Saturday at 4 pm, at which time I disappear in the woods for two weeks.
cmatthes Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I have actually been missing my old opaque Ferrari Red one lately for some reason: (the only one I've ever owned of the above pictured was one of the two Reddies, btw - I have a '91 Floyd Sunburst )
Guest pirateflynn Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I have actually been missing my old opaque Ferrari Red one lately for some reason: I can't imagine why? I'm repeatin' again but I love those old Sunbursts!
serial Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Chris-THANKS! I've actually been looking for that group shot pic for about a month now (it was on the old HamerFC Memberpages and predated my present PC at home). Cool. The red opaque is in good hands and gettin' love.
peedenmark7 Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 very nice '77....back in the early '80s there was a '77 floating around milwaukee lokoed just like the above pic....it sat for about 3 yrs at uncle bobs music... they were asking $695 if memory serves me...it eventually sold ,then showed up about a year later with a headstock repair. and was marked $395.. a good structural repair but cosmetically a mess.the guitar sat in bobs until around '90 the i never saw it again...the neck was just incredible... I should have bought it before the break...always regretted not doing so...
