Brooks Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Put guitars away in cases. Spay/neuter and declaw your cat(s). Unless the animal is especially obnoxious, in which case the best thing may be to shoot it, you should be fine. this should be obvious, but its not to everybody; CLEAN THE CATBOX and the cat will use it. a pal from college never cleaned his, then got mad when the cat found somewhere cleaner in his apt to go.

Quite true. My girlfriend keeps her cat's box clean, and has no problem with her cat not knowing where to do his duty. We stayed over at her brother's and his wife's house once. They have cats too, but their litter box was a different story. Blechhh!
Guest galejt Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 This shiznit is the cat's meow for getting out odors! Heh. I made a funny.
Guest galejt Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Tasty indeed.Eviscerate and clean a cat. Remove the hair by singeing in a rice-straw fire; continue this heat treatment until the skin is golden brown. Cut the meat into cubes and dry-fry them in a wok. Add oil, ginger, garlic, and dried, salted black beans to another wok and stir-fry for 10 minutes. Add the meat, soy sauce, green onions, and deep-fried bean curd. Stir momentarily. Yum.Disturbing Trend
Brownsound Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 My wifes cat liked to chew on stuff...thats right a cat that chews. I have found leather belts and even some of my holsters with little needle cat teeth holes in them. I was pissed! Spaz my wifes cat likes to knock stuff over. I used to be an avid military modeler in my youth. Well...the cat has all but eliminated my collection by knocking them form the shelves. Spaz also likes to get into the guitar cases. Shes a white cat and this leaves hair everywhere. I keep my guitars and equipment way out of the way of the cat now.
woodpile Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 My cat is also my bass player. He takes pretty good care of his gear. I don't let him sing though.
guitarzandstuff Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 I f I do, I'll be ready... Thats funny... !!!
Buzzy Fretts Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Don't worry about your own cat. Just don't piss off the one next door!
BTMN Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Toby, below, was my cat for 16 1/2 years. Used to rub his face on my headstocks just to get my attention. Loved string changing time! I miss him a bunch. My other cat Dena dont give a care about my guitars. She's 10 years old and like a grand Dame in her regal all Whiteness.

mattb Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 I have a crappy old head that the cats are tearing apart the cloth face on. They knocked over one of my acoustics that my lil lady left out, Snap! I leave anything of value in the cases. If I shut the door to my music room, they piss in the doorway. Man I love these cats.
