MCChris Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I know you've been looking for one of these forever:http://cgi.ebay.com/Schon-Electric-Guitar-...emZ260012354026Edited to add: I see you're the high bidder! Shoulda known ....
bruce919 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I am sure I will get out bid. These things go for High doller these days. I think that one on e-bay is a Larrivee made version. *edit* I have removed my bid. I noticed something on that guitar I did not ealry this morning. I thik the neck has been borken on that guitar. Look at the bolts on the back of the body by the neck. Thoes should not be there. I had a chance back in 2000 to get one & like a dumb ass I passed on it. All the other ones I have seen since then have gone much much higher. I will get me one , one of these days.
Nuclear Wessel Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I haven't seen one of those in a long time. Pretty cool. Somehow not quite as cool as I thought they looked back in the 80's, but still pretty cool.
Guest Mike Lee Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Bruce, I think those are strap buttons, not bolts. It's weird that there's two of them, though.
gatorbyte007 Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Ed Roman Has a shit Load of the original bodies For sale. I'm sure he wants to much. but I know he bought all the old Shon stock at Auction. steve.
BCR Greg Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I had a nuclear piss yellow one. The trem was shite, the pickups squealed and it hung on a strap badly. The girls LOVED it, and always asked me what "J chon" meant.I tossed it into the crowd one night (back in the day, we were playing with LA Guns, I think, the crowd was RABID) when the trem block broke as I played it. That guitar was dust in no time. I guess I shoulda kept the wireless.....
serial Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Peter and Bruce-see y'all w/drew your bids-was this thing broken? Any confirmation from seller?
edgar_allan_poe Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I thought those bolts were strap buttons as well. But the seller admits that the neck has been damaged at one point. The pics suck....
Jeff R Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I've only played one, a white hardtail at a vintage show in D/FW about 10 years ago, and that one had one of the biggest, fattest necks I've ever felt on any guitar. A friend who was with me who likes big necks actually said "now that's TOO big."

A friend who was with me who likes big necks actually said "now that's TOO big." Ohhhhh. I see. That knocks it down another couple of notches on my coolness scale. OK, it's true, I'm a skinny-neck-playing wuss boy. Yeah, I noticed the description for the one on E Bay mentioned the neck repair.
