BruceM Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!I just spoke to the manager at the Eagle's Club. He was all smiles, and said "This seems like a funny way to put this, but you guys were a really good drinking crowd. If you ever want to come back, please let me know."Yup, I guess that's my friends!LOL...I'm still chuckling.I asked if we were too loud, but he said no, we're welcome back anytime.
MCChris Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 "This seems like a funny way to put this, but you guys were a really good drinking crowd."Seems like the only way to put it!

The place was enjoyable, and the bartenders were very attentive. I guess we did keep them busy, but that's a good thing for a bartender.

Jorge Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 There seems to be a Rivera R30-112 within the backline. Any comments as to how it fared compared with the other amps, many of them quite "boutique" that were also used? Thanks!
earachemyeye Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 It's not mine, and it's an R50 I believe, but it's is a kick ass amp. I'd own one in a minute if I had the cash.Eric would be glad to tell ya more. He's it's love slave. ERRRIC!!?Joe
belgian Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Hey all, Conrad and I have some great shots. We'll get them posted soon. We had to flee town to recover from this mind-boggling weekend, and there was no better place than Door County, complete with some Pam & Sid love. We had a great time hiking in the woods near Lake Michigan, and I'll get some pics posted soon. Conrad's about ready to hop the plane for home...yet another 16 hour trip after a 7 hour drive home today. IRONMAN! We're sipping tequila now in preparation. Thanks to YOU all for a fantastic weekend. more later.... Some pics of the Door County trip : We needed this: It felt like home: Felt good to be out: At night : free concerts The last supper : Thanks for everything Bruce, Syd, Pam and all the rest of you for the fantastic company. It was GREAT !!!! (and I needed almost a week to recover).
MCChris Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Chris & Jack's Belgian Bar. How perfect is that?
BTMN Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I never took the chance to truely say hello Conrad. Thanks for the laughs as we prepared brats and I got smoked. Your photos are great thanks for posting. By chance did you take one of my friend with the Black Dean V?

Went over the pics, but I don't have one of your friend, sorry. There were a lot of people on the party that I wanted to talk with, but didn't got to do it. I am sure I'll pop up on one of the upcoming party's (maybe next summer). I'll first will have to take care of some of the HFC members that want to hit Belgium...

Any comments as to how it fared compared with the other amps, many of them quite "boutique" that were also used? Thanks! That's my little R55-12....I've had it for a couple years now and I'm still not out of the "honeymoon" phase.Like Joe (earachemyeye) said....I LOVE that amp. It "out-cleans" a Fender (doesn't quite have the head room of a Twin though) and it will crunch along with any Marshall that I've played.People at the jam kept telling me to turn up the drive channel until the master was up to 4 1/2 or 5 and it was tearing the back of my head off, lol, but it really doesn't project alot and I like to have more speakers anyway.I can't seem to find that "warm, voxy chime" in it anywhere, and BruceM's TopHat and Ted's Hayseed 15 excel at that tone....but those amps won't do what the R55 will either, totally different animals.I would really have liked to try MCChris's Valvetech rig, it sounded excellent, nice and thick, but still cut through the mix.
Moose Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 I'll first will have to take care of some of the HFC members that want to hit Belgium... :angry:Take him up on that, folks! He's a world class host. He treated me like a king when I rolled through. And Belgium is a fantastic place to visit. Lots of history, beautiful scenery, good food, and some of the nicest people I've met anywhere.

There's a trip to Belgium in my near future, I'm certain. Here's another pic from the Lake Michigan shoreline forest in Door County. What a great time, hiking with a Belgian HFC'er in a Wisonsin forest. mmm hmmm. and playin' some guitar on the side. It works for me. Oh, I just spent the last few days with Robb & Toni in WI, hiking in yet another forest and playing guitar in yet another cabin, and sharing Belgian chocolates & beer. Perfect. How many friends can a person make on this site? I suppose I'll start counting one of these days....
