Craig S Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I have a 6120 Setzer signature on Ebay now and I thought I would mention it in case anyone is interested and wanted to talk.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
sirDaniel Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 oh, f-ing great. Another guitar I have on my short list comes up for sale. One more guitar like this and the college fund will be M-T
Craig S Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 Part of me really does not want to sell it, but I hardly play it. I probably could get a similar sound with something a lot cheaper or even with my Heritage h-535
cmatthes Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Craig: BEAUTIFUL Setzer - if I could right now, I'd take that one off your hands just so you wouldn't have to answer any more idiotic questions from the legions of Harmony Central and Gear Page educated doofuses!! That is one of three current Gretsch guitars I've found to be extremely nice...I'm in serious lust.
Stike Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Paging Stike!I like gettin' laid better  . That guitar will hafta wait til my 40th birthday, that'll give me a few years to learn the Stray Cats version of "Sleepwalk".
Brooks Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Paging Stike!ha! i was about to post the exact same thing!
Craig S Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 NeilZ, thanks but no.... I already have a Strat..
santellavision Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I've owned a couple of these (real and reissues) and also a 6120JR. Very slightly smaller (You'd never tell unless they were side-by-sdie) And it's great too. Keep an eye out for those, they come up once in a while for sale. P.S. Some 6120's come with Gretsch or TV jones p/u's. If not, Change them out with TV Jones and his upgraded wiring/switches/pots. That made a huge difference in tone! He also makes a hot-rod wiring setup. Do you really want 2 Volume controls muddying up your signal path? No. Oh, and here's a pic of my real '60 6120.
Craig S Posted October 21, 2006 Author Posted October 21, 2006 Found a bad switch in this and cancelled the auction.... got's a lot a mad people at me.. probably just a dirty switch. I couldn't get the ebay cancel option to work and it went down messy... probably going to get my first negative feedback... oops
cmatthes Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 If you cancelled the auction, how can you get nasty feedback? That's still a great guitar.
Craig S Posted October 21, 2006 Author Posted October 21, 2006 I had one user who somehow got in just as the auction canceled....
santellavision Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Here's some more Viagra for 'ya! Can you say flamey?
Craig S Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 I got some PM's on this and didn't respond....sorry. This is kinda on hold for the moment...thx
