serial Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Wow-three WTB Daytona posts in one day! Looks like people are discovering these things. At the current prices, they are amazing guitars dirt cheap. I can't imagine that they'll be bargains like this forever though.
instantkarma Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Agreed absotively. The Daytonas are excellent players, look great, and sound fantastic. Built at a quality, finish, and component level far above the usual. The only reason I sold mine is an enforced one-in-one-out rule, as I just bought a Studio here on the HFC. Gotta work on that rule...
serial Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 Go with "one and a half in-one out". That works sneakingly well.
hamerhead Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I thought I needed a Strat-type for the goat-ropin' band I'm in, so I picked up Lockbody's Daytona. Of the Strats I've tried, it kicked ass on all but one, and that one had been busted up and put back together more times than I can count.Daytonas are what most Strats want to be.
DavidE Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I liked the ones I had, but they were all too heavy for my taste. I'm digging my sparkle parts o caster.

And the only reason you got that one was that damn "one in, one out rule" , too.
cmatthes Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Both of my Daytonas are surprisingly light. The Stikeodelicsparkletona is actually lighter than my orange trans (not by much though), which surprised me with all that metal in those pickups! Maybe because they both have gold hardware?
Punkavenger Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 DAYTONA !!!! YEAH !!! (lightest guitar I own)
