paul144 Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Sold! And not for nothing...a memo to the 2 guys below...(David E & MuseCafeChris)I think it is in extreme bad taste to judge a for sale ad. The discussion page has its own link. Would you like it if you had a for sale ad and some idiot decides to tell the world your price is high? Let the market bear what it will. You are not helping anyone, especially me. I pulled the ad, so now nobody gets it here. With morons like you, its a wonder anyone uses this forum to sell anything. Keep your comments to yourself, it will help everyone.Get a life boyz...geez!
DavidE Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Welcome aboard. Nice geetar! But be advised that $850 for a dot neck studio with only a gig bag will be a VERY hard sell on this board. $650 with a hardshell case for a really nice one is more typical though prices could be up from there I guess. Believe it or not, you're heading close to Studio Custom with hard case territory at $850.The only dot neck studios I've seen going for higher money had really sick flame tops.
MCChris Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Again, I must quote the Henry Silva character from the Steven Seagal classic "Above the Law":"Who the fuck is this cherry?"
JohnnyThunders Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I've been monitoring studios on ebay and the gear page the prices are going up.
DavidE Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 And welcome to the club!!!!But just so everyone can remember what we're dealing with here, let's post his original response:paul144 has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "1997 Hamer Studio Sunburst". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks Assholes! I had no idea my price was that UNREAL! I guess posting an ad with a high asking price is against the law, especially if you wanted to leave yourself some room to negotiate. Who the FUCK are you to tell me my price is too high? I guess you must be the Mayor of Hamerville or something, so you owe it to your buds to post your comments...Thanks for discouraging others from contacting me and making a reasonable offer now. Let the buyer beware, and if you're not buying, keep your know it all mouths shut. This is a for sale area, not a discussion page you retard. Like I didn't know the price is high...ugh..Douche Bags!
MCChris Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 My comment had nothing to do with the price. It had everything to do with your lame ass marketing verbiage.

Kilroy is all about... Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I must confess that after reading posts #2 and #3, I FELT that the feedback or comments about the price being 'too high' were awkward and unnecessary. On the other, recieving or getting flaming emails with lots of rude language isn't in good taste as well. Simple case of over-reactions and unnecessary comments--a deadly combo. Several months ago, I was new to the board and totally got 'flamed' and assaulted by the so-called 'best of the best. ' This type of conduct was completely unnecessary simply because I posted that I'd been offered $6k for an '01 Les Paul 59R. But for some love (affirming comments) from Serial and BCR I would've thought that this forum had a massive suck-factor (BUT it does not suck; this forum is amazingly cool and sadly, a bit goofy at times). Because of the way I was treated, I completely relate to the rude language seller, but do not condone nor appreciative his collective comments about the rest of us. Kilroy posts...

David's post wasn't even inflammatory. Mine was, and I don't apologize for it. Paul144's used-car salesman approach indicated that he could be a tool; his subsequent comments confirmed my suspicions.
Kilroy is all about... Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 M-CAFE, that's cool. have you figured out whether your new computer has dvd-r dubbing capabilitly for those badlands/cheaptrick/sykes dvds that i need to dub. drop me a 'pem' rgkilroy@yahoo.com rgkilroy@dmv.state.nv.us thanks..kilroy posts.
paul144 Posted April 29, 2005 Author Posted April 29, 2005 Tool? I'm not the one who quoted Steven Segal! Who quotes Steven Segal anyway???You guys crack me up. Bottom line, I'm a businessman trying to sell something. Some loudmouth Yenta feels its necessary to "educate" me and everyone else on this board with his opinion on my price.Admit you're wrong, because I'll be watching your for sale posts and render your ad useless too.Maybe you should contact everyone selling '70's Fenders to tell them they're overpriced too.PS...I came to my senses a few minutes after I posted that flame and deleted it. I apologize that the original "Tool" felt it was necessary to re post.
MCChris Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Tool? I'm not the one who quoted Steven Segal! Who quotes Steven Segal anyway??? Show some respect and spell the guy's name right. And I didn't quote Seagal; I quoted Henry Silva. Way to pay attention. Where do you live? And at what times are you usually driving a car? Let us know; it could save a life.Again, no criticisms from me on your price. Hell you coulda gotten double had you included the "mojo quotient" amid your other meaningless descriptors.
paul144 Posted April 29, 2005 Author Posted April 29, 2005 No further questions your Honor. Its unfair of me to battle wits with someone that is completely unarmed.
MCChris Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 No further questions your Honor. Its unfair of me to battle wits with someone that is completely unarmed. Never heard that one before. Where do you come up with these piercing comedy arrows? So sharp and SO original.
JohnnyThunders Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I like Whoppers myself.Henry Silva's best role was in Sharky's Machine were he was the cool hitman/drug addict. The ending where he falls out of the Window of the skyscraper was ripped off in the first Die Hard. Classic scene.

Guest cruster Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 All y'all are forgetting his role as Kane in Buck Rogers in the 21st Century. "Tomorrow *we* conquer Earth!" I suppose you might have been too busy looking at Erin Gray to notice him, though.
BCR Greg Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Erin.... The ONLY reason to watch that show....

Forgot about that one, your right great.
DavidE Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 1) After some thought, I agree that my comments about your price were uncalled for. You can ask whatever you want. I was thinking at the time that since you were a newbie, maybe you should know that no HFCer was going to pay $850 for that guitar and that if you wanted to sell it, you might want to adjust your price. But it didn't come out that way and I apologize.2) I also like whoppers.
kizanski Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I dunno Dave, don't you like being known as the Mayor of Hamerville?Kinda has a ring to it.
HamStd Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 Dammit Kiz, If you are acknowledged as the Mayor of "Hooterville" and Poe is Mayor of "HamerAssville" I want to be Mayor of Hamerville......Or at least Acting Prince of Hamerville.Peter.
