phoenix Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 Hybrid T51 with piezo powerbridge. A switch allows you to play with just the piezo, just the magnetic pups(Duncan 54 and Broadcaster), or blend both. 7.9lbs (7lbs 14.0 oz) on my digital guitar scale. 3 piece ash body. Very clean except for dents on the top back (pictured). The neck is straight and has low action with that wonderfully flat T51 radius(14”). Minimal fret wear. Comes with an SKB hard shell case in good condition for $725 including shipping (add 3% for Paypal). Case strap needs re-gluing. I got this and some of the description from a fellow HFC member. HHB set up the intonation and playability. I love the large neck. Surprisingly the piezo/electric combo works without a stereo cord that my Duotone requires. A terrific guitar, and many more sounds, compared to my real 1952 telecaster. A/B ing them sure made Hamer look good. steve here's B for the sake of internet veracity.
BadJaxx Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 i want, i want, i want.....i'm tapped out, i'm tapped out, i'm tapped out....
anotherfreak2 Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 how do the controls work on that one?stereo jack?2 jacks?
geoff_hartwell Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 "piezo/humbucker combo" ???What do you mean humbucker? Are they standard Tele-style pickups? Are the outputs splittable a la DuoTone, or are you blending in mono a la Taylor T5?
Stokesdead Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 bump for a guitar I wish I could buy. BTW phoenix did you get my PM?~CS
DavidE Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 I'm only disappointed that Steve didn't just pay it forward through a PM to me. If it was a full pound lighter, I'd buy it.
phoenix Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 Sorry, I dont know why I typed " humbucker" They are the Hamer singles pictured and described. Hey Geoff. I think it is mono because my Duotone blend would NOT work without a stereo plug, this one does. Anotherfreak: Single jack unlike the Duotone. Mono David, I considered Paying it Forward as it cost the same as the 2 Stetsbars but thought I would dabble in financial sanity for a change.Stokes, I got your PM. I'll try and get some more hot sauce out to you.
DavidE Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I think that's just a Fishman Powerbridge on there. They'll work in stereo and mono if they're wired normally. I have one on my tele and that's the way it works. Use it in stereo for best results as a piezo into a guitar amp sounds like ass.The Duotones do not work in mono. Maybe the newer ones do, but the old ones didn't.
