Check THIS -- but crazy price & not-so-good seller score. :)

They've tried selling that before. It'll probably be one of those Hamers that stays on eBay for years while the seller stubbornly refuses to lower their price.

I don't think that guitar is going anywhere any time soon. I had a chance to buy it years ago from the same guy for 700 I didn't have the money at the time when I did have it and went back he was asking a grand I asked him about it and because I had the nerve to ask it went up to 1300. So basically the longer he has it for sale and it doesn't sell the higher he asks for it. It has LOTS of finish checking and some issues with finish flaking too that doesn't show in the photos.

Looks like it's a music store. Ionel, you should get an HFC'er local to that store to walk in with a wad of cash and buy that thing for you. It's what you want and for less than you would have paid new, even at the Ebay price, AND, they ain't makin' em like that. That's your guitar!

seller refuses to send addtional pics showing any damage to the finish as well..

slow to respond to emails if he even responds...

cool guitar for sure, but pricey.... very pricey especially if the finish has major issues that a few have pointed out.

lonel, hey forget the vector....

check this beast out>

Thanks guys!

Well, I wrote to the seller and got no answer. I wouldn't deal with such a "silent" guy. In any case, that Vector is not exactly the Vector I am looking for. I'm just heavily into Annihilator, and that Vector just looks like the guitar Jeff Waters used to play in the late 80's. However, what I really want is a "raw" Vector from '81 to '84 with a fixed sustain block and the ugly headstock -- Peter's fault if I've developed my taste for that kind of axe. :)

So, after trying to get a Vector from several of my fellow HFC'ers here, I'm just stepping back and relaxing a little. I decided I had to learn the meaning of the word "patience". John has been working hard on teaching me the meaning of that word, so I think I owe him a bow.

About the GMP, man it looks absolutely amazing! But patience means waiting for what I really want. I have five electric guitars, so I guess I can wait. My ideal Vector would be Dave's 81, followed closely by John's Camo and then Conrad's natural mahogany. I prefer no binding, no fancy stuff... I like it plain and simple at this point. There's beauty in simplicity -- the camo thing is just that it fits to my look and playing style, but in fact I was slow in liking her because I'm not into custom finishes at all.

All that said, I'm saving my cash and just waiting for the right Vector to appear. I'm ready to jump over my pray. It's just a matter of patience, patience, patience, patience... :D
