tralfax19645 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Hi, SF deluxe reverb,no footswitch, got this one in trade works fine. Its in OK condition for how old it is. $700 plus shipping and packing. 1996 Valvetech 2 10, no reverb 2nd amp ever built, I did the upgrades for the original owner, who never came back to get it and I cant get ahold of him. Im tired of storing it. It really looks crappy but sounds good, would benefit from a speaker upgrade has the old eminence alnico 10s not the greatest 10s ever made. $400 plus packing and shipping. E mail me at vtkamps@aol.com with any questions you may have. Rob
bruce919 Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 If I had the $$ I would buy the SF back.BTW: That Silverface had a complete checkup last year at Uncle Alberts amps in Indy. New Cap, TUBES.
serial Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 Where are you shipping them from? I've been thinking about a DR.
halide Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 smokin hot deal on the vavletech folks. rob does fantastic work. i just got this monday from him and it kills.
currypowder Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 +1 on the Valvetech. I have both a VAC and Hayseed and they are both superb amps. I recently converted my VAC 1x12 to a head and have the loaded combo cab (blonde tolex, not sure of the speaker) that I would let go cheap if anyone is worried about the condition of the one Rob is offering.
MCChris Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 I sent him an email on that VAC,,, been wanting to try this or the Hayseed model for some time now. Does anybody know if there's that much difference from the early models to the more refined current VAC 22s?thxLooks like this one has all the current upgrades.
halide Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 i think if rob calls it a "vac25" it is up to current specs.

Does anybody know if there's that much difference from the early models to the more refined current VAC 22s?thxMine is an older model that's been upgraded to the newest specs. I don't know how it compares to a newly built VAC, but I'm definitely diggin it. I don't think you can really go wrong for $400.
DEMENTED Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 More details on both amps please...esp. the SF DR.
tralfax19645 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 I am in north east Indiana, just south of Fort wayne. The SFDR is in good working order. It is all original, it is not the older silverface with the aluminum trim strips however. The vac is maroon with black grill cloth, all up to current specs. Rob
tralfax19645 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Hi, The VAC is spoken for pending payment. The fender is still available. If I cant get 7 for it, Ill just keep it, its a nice amp but I rarely use it, seems a waste just sitting around here though. Rob
murkat Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Dam, I sneezed and the vac is spoken for..... Great deal on a great amp.
mattb Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Any interest in a trade for a 2000 Fender American Standard Tele for the SF Deluxe?
MCChris Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hmmm,,, decisions, decisions. How hard would converting this to a 1x12 be? or for that matter, how hard is it to convert this into a head? I've got a couple of decent 2x12 cabs and wouldn't mind doing that instead of replacing the speakers and/or the cab.I'd have a head box made for it. These things are unbelievable thru extension cabs.Although you might also want to judge for yourself how the amp looks and sounds as is first. Rob tends to be a little too self-critical IMO and I think his opinion is based on his current cabinet making, which admittedly has come a long way since he first started. But his earlier work isn't that bad at all.

I had Rob build me both head cabs and the conversion was easy (basically 4 screws). I want to keep the Hayseed 2x12 combo cab, but I am left with the 1x12 VAC combo cab which is just taking up space at this point. Let me know if you have any interest and I'll shoot you some pics and try to figure out what speaker is in it.
tralfax19645 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 Hi, Both amps are sold. My early cabs WERE pretty primative and this one is no exception !!!!! I think my new ones are quite nice though, if i do say so myself. Rob
tralfax19645 Posted June 24, 2007 Author Posted June 24, 2007 Hi, Just for the guys that missed out on the 2 10 VAC I sold, there is a 1 12 with weber blue dog on ebay. Strarting bid at $625. Ill put the upgrades in it for any hamerite that wanted the one i had and missed out. ($50 is what I would normally charge for this service)You would just pay the shipping. I am not connected with the seller in anyway, shape or form. Rob
hamersandstrats Posted June 25, 2007 Posted June 25, 2007 Rob,I have not heard one of your amps in person, but you always strike me as a great guy. These two amps were offered at fantastic prices, and your offer to do free upgrades is very classy indeed.Long live Valvetech amps!
