BadgerDave Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 ebay listing This looked very interesting. But scroll down and read the seller's response to the question about the neck repair!!!!!!!!!
HAMERMAN Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I guess the secret is out. Bondo - it's not just for cars anymore! :-)
cmatthes Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 What's up with the fingerboard at the 1st-3rd frets? Looks like a BS patch job. Did they repair that one THROUGH the fingerboard with screws or something? Take a close look at the two circular plugs and the suspicious 1st fret crown inlay...There's more going on there than Bondo.Damned shame though - that's a killah 'Bird!
BCR Greg Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 (digs around, finds a proper fretboard.....)Hmmmmmmmmmmm.......(rubs chin and stares at ceiling...)
kizanski Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 That headstock repair was done by Jonathan of GVCG?The refin looks killer, but I'm not convinced about the rest.
Steve Haynie Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 The shims under the nut speak volumes for the quality of repair work!
