BCR Greg Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 More of the Firebird inspired Fleetwood guitars are trickling in, this one sporting the Greg-approved "no stinking Tunamatic" beauty. Big, fat, juicy neck, nice weight, Zebra Rios..... Handbuilt from extremely high grade mahogany, a toneful display indeed! Since it's new, I cannot divulge the price in exacts, but it's less than $2k!
DavidE Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder.I'm sure it's a fantabulous instrument, but gorgeous? Not my taste.Under 2k for a hand made guitar like that sounds like some serious bang for the buck for someone who likes the look
BCR Greg Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 I've seen some of those shirts you wear on stage, David, so I'll agree with first line..... LOL
DavidE Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I've seen some of those shirts you wear on stage, David, so I'll agree with first line..... LOLDayum good point. I'm not Butcher, but nobody's ever accused me of having good taste.
BCR Greg Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 Butcher is the only guy that can wear one of those shirts and not be ridiculed. It doesn't stop YOU, buddy!!!!! Or me, for that matter... My kids gave me that shirt, so I HAD to wear it.
DavidE Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I don't think I have anything so....er..... colorful. :-)
seeker Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Gotta be honest, I first thought that was the oddest guitar I'd seen in a long time. Have since flipped 180. Me now really likey!
Stokesdead Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Yeah I like it. Very cool firebird vibe w/ enough of its own thing going that it doesn't look like a copy of one.
BCR Greg Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 Here's the prototype in action, down in Houston...... It looks different hanging on you than it does laying on the pallet. The ergonomics are quite good on this guitar.
Chollie Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 it's a great guitar and rings like a bell.... do you hear it...do you hear the sustain, well you would if it were playing.
Guest Meshuggah Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Gotta be honest, I first thought that was the oddest guitar I'd seen in a long time. Have since flipped 180. Me now really likey!Concur. Greg just had to convince Dave to make it purty!
seeker Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I put on my George Jetson goggles and then it made sense.
santellavision Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I drank the Kool-aid. Sir Gregger is building me one right now like this...

seeker Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I was thinking more along the lines of "Eyegouger". All your bandmates get to wear such cool and fashionable gear:
