Craig Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Hey fellas, as some of you know, nerve damage has left me pretty much unable to play, and I don't need 5 guitars to screw around with a slide. These are for local pickup in NY, as I can't even wrap them properly to ship if I wanted to. You are welcome to have a local friend/Hamerite come pick them up and ship them to you if you like. I've posted them on Craig'slist, here are the URLs:TaylorHamerThanks for looking, hope everyone here is doing well.
Steve Haynie Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 That's not a Special, it is a Special FM! $600 is a good price, too.
cornjulio Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 That's not a Special, it is a Special FM! $600 is a good price, too. At last it's Craig posting on Craigslist And the guitar looks great!

I was facing that about 10 years ago with an arthritic condition and I know the emotional impact. I was fortunate to put the arthritis in remission, but many others are far less fortunate.
atquinn Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I'm not in the market for either guitar, but I live in Mineola, Long Island, which is probably somewhat close and I have packing supplies coming out of my ears, so if anyone wants to have one of these guitars shipped, I could pick it up from Craig and get it out to you.-Austin Quinn
Craig Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Austin - that's really cool of you to offer, I appreciate it. Hamer Hokie - Thanks for the kind words
tomteriffic Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I've played one of those Taylor 314 limiteds (I think they were called "Legends of The Fall" ) and I was in love with it, so much so that I still remember how the thing smelled for Pete's sake. I was also broke, but these Koa 314's are some kind of sweet guitar. Somebody work something out with Craig.
Stokesdead Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 if my tak EVER sells. I may grab that FM from you. Hope you get better man.
zorrow Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Craig, sorry about the nerve problem... Any chance to heal?Well, I have a friend here who is interested on the FM. Can you please post some bigger pictures of it with the nasty details -- dings and such? Thanks in advance man, and good luck!
Craig Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 Hi Zorrow, Here's the skinny on the guitar:Neck profile is what I would call medium/chunky - nice and comfy and not skinny like a Les Paul. The Special is an FM with very little in the way of wear. It shows 6 small holes on the back of the headstock where the old tuners were removed and the Sperzels installed. The frets are great, may have been a re-fret at one point (I'm the second owner, bought the guitar from BCR Greg, I believe he did a refret and pickup upgrade for the last owner, can't really remember, it's been 4-5 years since I bought the guitar, Gregster, if you are reading this and would care to clarify, I would appreciate it)The other down and dirty is two really small screw holes that were filled because the last owner had a gibson style pickguard on it, that I had removed. To tell the truth, you don't see them unless you are looking for them. Assorted pick swirls as to be expected on an 11 year old guitar, but I give it overall a 9 out of 10 condition, and I'm a pretty tough grader. As far as the nerve damage - it was supposed to be fine reight after the op in April, then it was supposed to take 6 months, now a year or two, and the numbness will always stay. Thanks for asking - Craig
