serial Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 For stopping out to see us Saturday night. Good to see everyone (including John's bro-in-law and the ever-energetic Stormy) and it was fun having Greg up with us on some AIC.Interesting joint we played-definitely a "work in progress". Lots of future space and potential and we gave them their biggest night ever, so we'll be back.
Guest pirateflynn Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I'm curious ... what amp are you using?
Chollie Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Wish I was there Serial... I had an extremely bad migraine. I'm sure you guys you guys rocked.
serial Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 I'm curious ... what amp are you using? Duoverb with subtle-cool Stokesdead logos. Hope you're feeling better Chollie. Between the smoke, the noise and the ladies, your head likely would have exploded.
BubbaVO Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I couldn't re-shuffle my schedule. I would have loved to be there. Any pics or audio that can be shared?

Guest pirateflynn Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Duoverb with subtle-cool Stokesdead logos.I had an idea for a logo but Stokes never got back to me about it. Hopefully, I'll get it done one day. Cool !
geoff_hartwell Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Do you run the duoverb with parallel xlr outs to the PA, or standalone?
serial Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Do you run the duoverb with parallel xlr outs to the PA, or standalone?I ran it direct to the PA once and really didn't like the sound-wayyy too middy and all of the good tone seemed to disappear into mud. Sat night, the club was small enough that I just set it to 3 (which is plenty loud) and set it on a road case. I'll usually do standalone unless we're running a big PA for a larger room, then I'll have the cab miked.
Guest Meshuggah Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Please tell me you got a photo of the Storm-inator shaking it down with the Ladies!
JohnnyScarp Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Enjoyable evening. Cool band Steve! Your new bass player locked into the drummer just fine, and you kicked-ass. It's always an honor and a pleasure to be in company with great players from the HFC.
DavidE Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Screw the rest of this stuff. WHAT WAS BUTCHER WEARING?????
cmatthes Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Screw the rest of this stuff. WHAT WAS BUTCHER WEARING????? If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand. You couldn't understand... You SHOULDN'T understand!
serial Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 Thanks John! Unfortunately, Butcher was going conservative and was into muted colors and earthtones. Stormy was making time with at least one young lovely there.
Chollie Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 UMMMMMMMM I GAVE HER MY DIGITS.... :EYES ROLL BACK IN HEAD: AND STUFF.....:PROCEEDS TO DO THE ROBOT:

HamerHokie Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Pics from Saturday night. A dive it was, but the crowd was great and everybody had a blast. Greg sitting in on "Man in the Box": Nothing accentuates fine stonemasonry like rich mahogany panelling and exposed 2x4s.
