Thundernotes Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Oh, the GAS pains......... Like to shred but hate skinny necks? 1993 Hamer Diablo with a rather beefy neck profile. I can't guess how beefy, but I'll take some caliper measurements tonight if you like. Bigger than my Special - let's put it that way. Previously owned by JackC and some of the northeastern guys saw/played this at Ceebs Swarmapalooza last year. I'm not sure what the neck pickup is (may be stock) but it sounds beautiful especially when playing clean. The bridge pickup is a Dimarzio Air Zone - nice articulate sound and not overly hot. It also has the EVH D-tuna setup and the original pieces are included if you want that off of there. For some reason, the tuners are black, while the Schaller Floyd is chrome. If this bothers you, I have a full set of Hamer chrome tuners and will install them for you. Metallic green paint in very good condition - one minor ding at the top edge that does not expose the wood. Frets are in great shape. OHSC in good condition. $475 plus shipping. PayPal preferred, postal M.O. OK too. With her big buddy: Note the bass has the mismatched hardware too. Interesting phenomenon
Zoner Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Do these do any coil-tapping or is it a straight-up 3-way selection process and no trick pots? Big neck + green is right up my alley . Z
Thundernotes Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 Standard 3-way switching on this one - no fancy stuff.
Jeff R Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 Killer guitars too. I picked up one at the local GC's used fire sale a year ago and I really wanted to keep it for me, but the wife intervened and, eh...
hamerboy_ Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 This one was in my stable before I sent it off to Jack. This one is exceptional. Nice big neck. I hadn't seen too many in this finish. -Bobby

Jack C Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I'm seriously thinking about it. That's a really nice guitar. Why can't you ever hold onto anything I sell you? I always end up buying it back...
