Wanted: Steve Stevens I

This is my first post and I am looking for a Steve Stevens I model. I had one years ago and it was stolen in 1991. I have wanted another one since. Anybody selling or know where I can find one?

Black would be my first choice, but willing to look at any and all.

Be patient, they do show up for sale but not all that often. If I were you I'd be prepared to shop for 6 months or more.

Yes. The SSII had one single coil and an HB.

Anybody else out there holding a Steve Stevens I? My birthday is in two weeks and that is going to be my gift. I've gotten some responses already and weighing the options. I just want to make sure I've seen all that is out there before deciding.

Hey Chad - you'll need to be a bit more specific. Pictures help, but you need to describe the guitar. It almost definitely is not an '84 - my guess is that you're reading the '84 date off of the decal on the back of the headstock. That only represents the year the SS/Hamer partnership for that design started - the year will be indicated by the first digit of the serial number: Find that number, put an "198" in front of it and you get the year of production. The actusl Steve Stevens guitars started production in 1985.
