serial Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 All of the other guitars I had up for sale (and even one or two that I didn't put up here) are on their way to new homes and I picked up a new toy or two. Unfortunately, I still have some residual GAS symptoms. This is the last guitar I've got for sale or trade for a while and it's a VERY cool one. 1987 Steve Stevens II w/bound ebony board with LED inlays, bound headstock (VERY rare on any Steve Stevens), gold hardware-just an all around neat guitar. One of two that I'm aware of that were made-the other was Steve's and this was ordered to be exactly to the specs of his. W/OHSC-looking for $1600 cash or cool trade. Not really looking for anything Hamer other than something w/a Bigsby maybe or a 12 string (other than Eclipse) and I don't need anything amp-wise. More interested in the boring old "classic" designs-something I'll use gigging. This is the last Floyd guitar I have that I'm moving, I just don't play them, as cool as this one and the others I had were, and I hate that this one sits in its case all of the time. REALLY clean-still has the plastic film on the trem backplate. Email or PM if interested.
Lockbody Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 You really know how to hurt a guy while he's down, don't you. Wotta great guitar.
silentman Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Steve does that have the typical hamer binding job on the neck - nibs?
serial Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 Yes-nibs over the fret ends. It's the same width at the nut as most Hamers (I forget the measurement off the top of my head, but it's the same as four or five others I measured) but it feels a little wider in a good way as you move down the neck.
serial Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 Man- I'll bet that guitar rocks..... U Betcha! Hey-get some warm weather out there, willya?!
BubbaVO Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 That's one of my favorite guitars I've seen on this website. Really elegant.
Jimbilly Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Mine SSII is not nearly so nice as that one, it's my favorite guitar. I don't think that one will dissapoint.
mhmike Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Love this one, especially the LED fret markers and the all black with gold hardware. Very smooth and scary looking. Anyone with the money and space should pick this one up without hesitation, I know I would if I could!
Jeff R Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I have to stop opening this thread.Q: Do the LEDs switch on/off or do they automatically come on when you plug it in and stay on?
serial Posted March 19, 2008 Author Posted March 19, 2008 Been too busy to be GASsing in the past month, so I've let this one go w/o bumps. Now that things have settled down, I'm feeling all tingly again. If you're interested, hit me up with trade or cash offers-looking to turn this into something I'll gig with and since I prefer Kahlers, all of my Floyd stuff is going/gone (except for a single FB!).
Yeahmann Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 That is one beautiful SS. . it may be the be nicest i've seen IMO. The other nice thing about it is that it has a look that will never go out of style unlike the SS guitars i have. Mine "date" themselves . . that guitar is a timeless classic. Really a beautiful guitar. It appears to be in remarkable condition. The temptation around here . . .
serial Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 $1400?I wanna make some room in the stable.
Yeahmann Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 somebody here needs to buy this guitar. Its way to nice for it to go elsewhere. I just depleted my funds or i would be overwhelmed with temptation.
